I have some shots of my first three Akula Troopers. These are test figures to see how this color scheme looks. I'm happy to say I think they work. I haven't finished the bases yet, but I wanted to show them off right away.

Colours work really well IMHO - are you going to put some sort of insignia or similar on the helmet?

Yeah. There would be one there but I ran out of time. I did a big photo session on Friday morning that included my Blade Runner stuff and these guys. To get these guys in I skipped the helmet design. I'm considering a basic shape in red, ala the red star on communist helmets, or caution stripes on the visor. I thought about going with the Star Wars style pin stripes and shapes look, but that seems too busy for the clean look of your figures. Now I'm over thinking this. I do that sometimes.

A couple of WIPs by Andrew May....

The plan is that these wont be carrying weapons, and so would do as court flunkeys/functionaries/civilians




Also, Ian Mountain is working upon some Elite(gasmasked troopers)....

Sure. Not too keen on the whole long robes thing personally tho. Fits the background I'm certain but not really my cuppa. Will have to wait for more finished versions to pass judgement tho.

I know what these guys are supposed to be, but I can't wait to use them for classic Battlestar Galactica. Caprican civilians celebrating the peace treaty with the Cylons. It'll be a daggit crushing good time.

Hopefully in 6-8 weeks, maybe a bit quicker.... Have also got the alien hound and "Brute" greens earmarked for the same mould, plus maybe the troopers that Ian M. is working upon.
