VSF British (Unicyles added Feb 26)

I'm remaking my VSF/Steampunk army after I had to sell my (primarily Reaper) first army to cover medical bills last year.

You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Gorgeous! Too bad about selling your previous army, hopefully no such need in future.

Nice - I have some of those Brigade chaps on my painting table right now (hoping to get them started today) as I never did manage to build respirators for my 'Aetherines'  ::) ...

Like pocoloco, I hope the medical problems are a thing of the past.

Thanks for the kind words.  My wife had a stroke last July.  She has since made a full recovery, and we were able to cover the expenses without incurring further debt.  I am a blessed man.

Most of my enjoyment of a mini comes in the creation and dreaming.  If I actually get to play games with them, that's icing on the cake.

Then the sold army did their utmost purpose. Good to hear that your missus made the full recovery.

I have the same kind of sitution with the hobby, it's more enjoyable to dream, plan and create, gaming comes later if at all with some of my projects.

What kind of force are you going/planning to do?

It's going to be an 188-- expeditionary force.  The old army saw service in Atlantis, Mars, and Venus.  Since the possible defection of Lord Delabrough and Lady St. George to a shadowy paranormal organization such as Torchwood or L.A.S.T., replacements must be brought up to maintain her Majesty's extraterrestrial domains.  Currently the situation on Mars seems stable, but young Cytherea has quite a problem with the natives.

My expected force organization:
-Characters, leaders, etc - I'll see what happens with what I get painted.
-10x gasmask troopers with leader (brigade)
-10x unicyclist lancers (WF plastics, heavily converted)
-20x regulars (Warlord)
-the HMS St. George and escort craft
-Shield-truck with captured Cytherean war queen.
-Lots of cannon
-possibly 10x Saturnine mercenaries.

At last count, I had 45 models left to paint, and they've been primed and staring at me for months.  The rules will be VSF FUBAR.

Good news on your wife's recovery, Froggy, and like others have said, I hope that is the end of your medical issues.

On the VSF front, these are looking bloody gorgeous, great faces.
They should be some of your best work to date.
Love 'em!

That looks like a proper force!

Hope to see rest of them at some point, with HMS St. George and lots of guns :)

 :o Those do look fantastic.

I know what it is like having a wife with medical problems. We are just coming out of that ourselves, thanks be to God. Glad to hear your wife has recovered so well.

In related news (well, more on-topic), I have recently decided to expand and replace my Praetorian unit with some of Victoria Miniatures's wonderful looking figures for my own VSF British forces. Just need to find the financing.

Great stuff, Froggy.
Up to your usual high, imaginative standard.

Were did you source the wheels?

I made the wheels by wrapping headphone cord around one of the interior plates from a VCR motor.  My cat has been destroying about one pair a month, so I have a lot of scrap cord.
