Dear all,
I have a half-realised project to do Sir Gawain and the Green Knight - in a post Roman / Dark Ages context.
So, for Gawain I'm spoiled for choice - there are plenty of nice 28mm Arthurian sculpts out there that will fit the bill. But I'm struggling with the Green Knight and I wonder if anyone can help?
My interpretation (based on Brian Stone's translation) is of a giant (so significantly more than 28mm!), but fully human figure, dressed in rich clothing (and specifically NOT wearing armour!). I think I would put the bar up at about 40mm total height - any more than that is just too big.
The nearest I've got is some of the Heroes of the Dark Ages figures (which are very BIG 28mm's) but I'm not 100% happy these fit.
I'm happy to do minor resculpting of (e.g.) clothes, weapons, hair etc, so any suggestions gratefully received!
Thanks in advance,
M
