For the Burmese...
Well, some folks actually make Burmese, but that would be too simple.
So far I've sifted through some of my old Wargames Foundry, Tai Ping Rebellion 'Rebel' infantry. They have short/shell jackets and some sort of knee length trouser/skirts that might work. And are bare foot to boot.
I also have some of those old, now re-released, Copplestone Zanzibari regulars. They're in Frock coat, long pants/trousers, and bare foot. They have nice fezes, but I'll make a quick drop mould of some pith helmets and pop those onto their heads.
I also have some of the earlier, as opposed to new and exciting, Perry Plastic ACW Rebels. I was going to cast up some pith helmets for them, then cut off the shoe fronts, and replace them with some plastic Zulu feet.
When the Perrys had the 'new and exciting' ACW Rebels in development I sent off an email suggesting that 'ragged rebels' should have the option for replacable shoes/feet. I believe that one might best describe the polite email reply I received as suffused with shock and horror at the mere contemplation of separate foot parts for infantry figures.
Ah Well,
