I think Mark and I started to figure out the maneuvering at this point, because this game started a trend where we spent a lot of time trying to occupy the same point in space at the same time.

Thank god we weren't using collision rules.

This wasn't the first Immellmann pulled that evening - Illumisar pulled one in the first game. But I'm writing up the battle report and not Illumisar, so we'll pretend I'm the next Boelcke.

And yes, you were required to yell "Immellman!" every time it happened. I'm glad it amused Lisa.

And I know you know what an Immellman is. I remember reading a comic book where they explained it in a footnote but didn't illustrate it very well. I didn't fully understand the Immellman until I was a teenager.

And of course, as it turned out, he wasn't really at my mercy.  :x

His guardian angel flies wingman in that spare millimeter.

Not much to say here, other than we made some good runs past each other.

Edit: Well, we made runs. I've taken a grand total of ONE point of damage. Illumisar's SPAD has a perforated oil filter, a clipped propeller, detaching fabric on the upper wing, snapped strut cables, and a flat tire.

Insert jokes about Teutonic Efficiency here.

But all good things come to an end, and one good hit does me in.

The series is tied at 1-1! Time for a tiebreaker!

Yep, WOW is great fun, we even ran our own tournament here in Perth (Oz) last Sunday, 5 games no more than 45 minutes per game. My fellow organiser even commented that where a game finished early, the players had a game in between the conclusion and the start of the next game (& got a result)!!

We have a heap of aircraft from Canvas Eagles games & F-Toys that we are adapting to the game ASAP.
Cheers,

"BTW I need some `` Photoshop ``pogram."

There's a free program called gimp. I never tried it, but it's pretty well recommended and available for just about every computer.

Jibbery style oinkery which don't make no damn sense.

The GIMP is excellent, I've used it for years on Linux, Windows and Mac.

The Mac version is a bit annoying, but getting better.

The Pulpendeutsch was the extra spice.
I liked it very much.
It reminded me of the "german" Monty Python used in their scetches.

Great posting. I stopped and rushed to get Comic Life. The WoW stuff is great and would love to have it. All prepainted and ready to go, just open and play.  However, I am deep into playing "Canvas Eagles" in 1/72nd scale. The last game I hosted involved ten Fokker Dr1s of JG1 vs six F2b Brisfits of the RFC. Everyone had at least two aircraft.
