Back in Colonial Russia...
« on: 01 May 2013, 10:00:33 PM »
Hey LAFers,

After taking a long break with other projects, I have been drawn back to the one true wargameing genre.

Here are some Piccies of my recent efforts - A repainted tank called 'Vicky' and some re-based Russians and Arabs.

Tell me what you think.

More pictures and words and stuff on the blog.....

Very nice  8)

The tank is a bit too modern for my personal VSF tastes but you've done a great job on it  :-*

cheers

I agree re the tank - looks too 20th century for VSF.  Love the infantry ( I pity the poor Turks or Caucasian mountaineers who have to go up against the tank!)

Thanks  :)

I make no defence of the fact the tank is 'out of period'. I just owned the model and think shes a real looker....

The tanks only get used against the pesky Brits that get stand in the way of the C'zar's rigorous march on India. When I'm in a colonial mood, the Infantry end up fighting Khivans in the desert.

Great brushwork. I love the look of your troops. They'll look beautiful dashing across the table top.

Good stuff!

I always meant to add the Tsarist hordes to the list of VSF projects, since in the real world, the Brits were far more worried about the Russians than the Germans in this period. Germany never threatened India, after all.

Very nice indeed, Mr Marx.

Tank too advanced?
That would be the superior invention skills of the Russian science program.

I don't know that the white turrets make any sense at all, but I love the look of them.   :D
