Lovely! Your camo is top notch, but the jeans on the insurgent are marvelous... I found that jeans is about the worst to get right!

I second this. I am just starting out with some Empress Brits with Skirmish Sangin in mind and would love to know the colours used for this camo, it is fantastic.

That is amazing. The camo work, the detail work. It's all fabulous.

The rest of the chaps have it right - it's an RPK light machinegun. That front bit under the barrel should be a folded bipod. They generally have drums but the 30-50 round "banana" magazines are also accepted by the receiver. As far as the furniture, modern the Russian military has black plastic stock and forearm, but if it's an older gun, 70's-90's it would be bird's eye maple or standard maple, depending on the region it was made in. Virtually all Eastern European countries made these, with Romania making some very good models.

To start hi, new to this forum

I've been converted to 28mm after spending years painting GW and FOW. Has anyone got any paint guides For painting MTP? Is seen some older ones but was wondering if anyone has found out how the above model was painted? I've got 32 empress British troops and would love to be able to paint them up similar ?

Ok so MTP seems to be a dark art so I searched the net for pics instead of topics and found this

Going to give it a go as its not to dark and not too light and it might lend itself to dipping if your that way enclined and there are some other good post too

The RPK works even painted fully black.  It would be a much more modern RPK though.  It would look more accurate with a wood stock/forearm.  The magazine can stay black or, bakelite as mentioned.  Stunning great paint work on both of them!
