It's off putting to me to have the theme to 'The Untouchables' playing in the background. I know that is common since the music has not been done, but I wish they hadn't used something so recognizable.

Other than that, it looks pretty cool!

Nothing like the Spirit should be. It was clear from the Eisner/miller interviews that Miller didn't 'get' anything Will did, if only they'd given this to Sam Raimi.

Not holding out high hopes for this one, friends.... Frank Miller has a bad habit of turning good comic books into baaaaaad movies.


Everybody do yourselves a favor and pick up some of the black & white Spirit reprints published by Warren in the 1970s. They go for a song on eBay:

Be careful not to pick up the similar rather lower-quality reprints published by Kitchen Sink by mistake (unless you're a completist ).

Don't forget the Harvey Comics.  I suppose I will have to go see it to keep the genre alive.  Eisner is one of my favorites.
