Quite a dramatic finish!  :o

304K raised, 1004 supporters. I would say that did quite well. The funds mean that they will be able to manufacture most of the basic units in plastic at a reduced cost.

It felt good to help out a new company... but it will feel really good when I get their minis!  ;D

Here is a video of the new plastic tanks and how they fit together:

Looks great for conversion.  :D

EDIT: Removed as video is no longer available.

Has there been any updates on the form to fill out with which models we want? I forget the term they use on Kickstarter.

Do they call them surveys?

Some send them right away, others after material starts coming in to ship I believe.

Actually, they are called Pledge Managers. This is an email you will receive in which you will be able to tell them precisely what you want to buy with the money you have pledged.

According to one update, they were hoping to have the Pledge Manager ready for the end of July.

So, don't worry if you haven't been contacted yet. Nobody has.

Actually, they are called Pledge Managers.<snip>

Yes, that is it!  One of the KS I was involved in talked about sending out a survey, IIRC, because of a problem with the Pledge manager initially, hence my confusion.

Appreciate the right name, sir.

Gracias,

Glenn

So...

They have finally begun shipping.

Anybody received product or an email concerning shipping?

I get emails from Architects of War advertising pre-orders for this stuff, but have yet to get any notice my KS package has been sent.

North Star listed them about a month ago.

I received my package last Thursday or at least the first half of it. Basically the starter plastics and a few units of metal infantry. Oddly I didn't get my shipping notice until the day after I got it.

Interesting.

At least someone got something!  :?

However, it appears it may be some time before we get all that we ordered, as they mentioned in the updates.

Gurnalon are you living in the US? What didn't you receive? Was it add-on stuff? Did you get all the stuff that you ordered at your pledge level?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting the stuff in my hands. I'm planning on using the tanks alongside a bunch of Sudan Brit minis I just ordered from Blue Moon.

Nice to hear miniatures have started making their way to backers. I didn't support the kickstarter myself, but might well pick up some of the bigger minis at some point just to paint up.

I wasn't in on the Kickstarter but I assembled a Scout Tripod and an Assault Tripod last night, have a tank to build tonight. Nick (North Star) gave them to me yesterday and asked me to get them built so that he can put them on display at Partizan this weekend as they are the UK distributor.

Quite nice pieces and bigger than I expected. Easy to assemble with two complete legs and one in pieces so that it can be posed. There were a couple of issues with flashed sprue and a couple of pieces that needed a tiny bit more plastic but I'm sure these are test sprues that have been sent over for promo use, certainly no stock in sight any time soon.
So many projects..... so little time.......
