The Copplestone 10mils have good detail so they're not too difficult to paint.
My eyesight's crap but I did these with an optivisor.
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Hey Orctrader do you use an electron microscope for the eyes?

Just an Optivisor.

Like Bugsda says, they're good sculpts with fine detail.   :)

Very nice Bugsda and Orctrader. I am also thinking about a skirmish setup can the miniatures (mounted and unmounted be based on a 15mm base or do they need to be 20mm?

Za

My figures are mounted on a 20mm penny. The foot figures would actually look better on a 15mm base I recon, I always thought mine looked a bit isolated in the middle of a penny.

I had to put this Nazgul on a 25mm 2p coin.

Thank for the heads up. Thinking of making a small "table" in a tin to play a scaled down version of Songs Of Blades and Heroes. Been tinkering with the rules and it seems I only have to downscale the amount of movement, and range for shooting/magic. It might become bloody very quickly though  lol

With 15mm bases there is more room to maneuver.

Za

Those are some great painted minis! :-*

What's an optivisor.  Is that a fancy European term for bifocals lol

I can't even paint 28mm miniatures, much less 10mm.  You guys are real artists.

I'd agree with you, except I've seen 'em.  8)

Okay, that's a bit unfair. The unmounted figures are good - my only beef there is that they turned out to be chunky 'heroic' 12mms beside my BoFA plastics. Otherwise, the horses and wolves have slightly strange proportions for my tastes, even at that size.

But that not-fellbeast... strewth. :?  Nicely-painted as examples are, I don't know if any paintjob can save it. There are a couple of things that make me think of turning my hand to 10mm - one's the general situation with SGs at the mo. The other's that model...

I also play skirmishes in 10mm on individual bases. Some examples of mine:

My 10mm are single based, apart from the copplestone doubles that wouldn't split.

10mm rocks arse

And blacksmith is a 10mm GOD! You have to have a look at his blog esp the Orc's Drift!

Oh yeah, seeing those Orcs reminded me: Pendraken Fantasy minis tend to be a bit larger than their historicals. I don't have the Pendraken Fantasy range humans, can someone confirm this? The Dwarfs and Orcs at least seem bigger?

I think I have some of the Elves and othert stuff stashed up, I could take comparison shots, if someone wants them? Unpainted at this point, sorry to say.

Thank you Bugsda, I like to paint them bright so you can see them from distance. Here's another example:
