Bon jour,
me and some friends are working on a presentation of the Battle of Lutzen for a con next year.
We will focus on the Attack of Blücher's Korp on Großgörschen and the fighting behind the village against the four Battalions of 22nd French Line Regiment.
Last week I started painting the first Frenchmen and here they are:  :)

I reduced painting to a minimum, adding shades and lights after having painted the basic clours. Painting only greatcoats reduces the time needed drastically, but I am sure you know about this. :D

They are nice, the minimal shading/highlighting looks very effective.General Lee got to the adjective first, but crisp describes them perfectly.

Well done, they look clean. Not mud type clean, but painting clean, and yes, crisp.

Very good, :)

...they look to be grumbling, muttering and protesting against their hierarchy - typically French  lol

Thank you!  :)
At the moment I have more fun painting my Saga Miniatures, but there will (has to be) progress over the next weeks.

You have been busy. They look good, particularly like the regt of foot in the light brown greatcoats.

Bonjour Wilhelm,

Really excellent work and I second the plus vote for the light brwon greatcoats.

I  must try some myself.

I'm inspired to go and paint some of my pile of French in greatcoats but got to finish 2 more battalions of Perry Prussian Musketeers, in grey greatcoats, first.

Cheers,

Paul
