I dont recall all the negativity on the codpiece when the McVey one was released. :-)
And yes, first thing that i thought of when i saw the PW one was McVey's.

Grimm

Never looked at that one or I would have commented.

Gracias,

Glenn

It's more psychological than anything else, but still important!

They do like those armour loincloths.

Unfortunately they join Games Workshops funny idea of adding mining tools to Combat Armor... I hope we will get other arm options than this nonsense.
Far less active than I used to...

The Metal Loincloths Team:

I personally like the way they've put magnet-sized holes in the bitz from the start. Mileages vary tho I'm sure.

I wish they would have kept the old helmets, the new Space MarineTM style helmet free models looks stupid.

These suits are the third level of protection... the fourth level suits have the enclosed helmet and beefier armour on the shoulders so don't dispair :).

I am glad that these are finally available and the beauty of them is that you can choose different heads from their store if you aren't happy with the ones you get (obviously you have to pay extra... but the choice is there).

Still no indication on whether the ridiculous loincloth armor can be left off or not...

a lot of the figures they produce are single castings with much of the detail in situ - so I suspect the 'loincloth' armour is not optional.

That's exactly why I have not purchased any of the McVey ones.

This design is pretty nice but the codpiece must be normalized.

I like the hands that fold and the weapon built in.  I *really* like that the guns are not over-the-top-trying-to-compensate-for-something big.

I like this sequential idea, too: http://www.beastsofwar.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Destroyer.jpg  The progression from light to super-heavy is nice.  Well done!

The destroyer, as a SWAT break-down-the-barriers suit, makes sense with those spinning saws.  Good idea.  Perhaps an option for a drill to make a hole and then insert explosives or a blow-torch for weakening metal could prove useful.

Another role for these suits could be the rescue of people buried in debris, including fellow squad mates.

I'd held off ordering these as they are so like the Studio McVey 'suits' and i've still got a couple of those but I've just received the trooper unit and they're really nice (very reminiscent of FW's Elysians - bit taller and better proportioned - but with all the equipment cast on) so I might change my mind.

Pity that. :?

Thanks for letting us know though; and I do look forward to seeing your paint-up, silly equipment and all.
