IHMN & The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
« on: June 26, 2013, 07:14:57 PM »
As an exercise in using the system outlined in the article "Creating your own Company in IHMN", I decided to try and replicate this famous body, as shown in the cinematographic entertainment of the same name.

The results of this exercise can be found in the Bonus Materials section of the IHMN blog.

I like it! Except for one thing - surely Mrs Harker should be Immortal too . . . .

Referred to as "Vampiress Mina Harker" in the shooting script, Dracula was destroyed before she could turn - leaving her free-willed, but a Vampire nonetheless.

She's too vulnerable to wooden bullets to be immortal  :o

JUST re-read what the Talent means - so yes, that being said Immortal and Impervious don't really do Dorian Gray's regenerative qualities justice ;)

Unfortunately they don't, but the beggar's got to be playable  :D

'Vulnerable to own portrait' is a pretty limited weakness.

Maybe you should have an "Easily Distracted" weakness for Grey that is twice as strong when Mina is in the room.

I was thinking more about his ability to walk away from being shot at Point Blank Range by a Sub-Machine Gun really - but yea, that too LoL!

I was almost disappointed you did this, Craig. So many have talked about doing their own; even I bought Black Dragon Tong with an eye to multi-purpose the Yeti as an LxG-style Mr. Hyde.

I was hoping to see other's attempts first. Just saying.

But it IS your baby...

That's just the way that Craig sees the League though... :)
There is no "official" list- this isn't a GW game
You can still compile your own

Personally, mine will be based more on Alan Moore's version from the graphic novel, rather than the film, and certainly won't include Tom Sawyer,  lol

Still, a chap ought to look smart in front of the men, don't you think?

Maybe. Certainly the Heroclix "Kingpin" figure would make a good base for a conversion...

I do like Craig's take on Mr Hyde,  :)

I'm lazy, I'm waiting for my Empire of the Dead Requiem Miniatures to arrive before tackling mine :D

I concur with Elprez too. I much prefer the version from Moore and O'Neill's graphic novel, and that's what I'll try and write up. But I do think Craig's Jekyll/Hyde solution is elegant.

I was most offended by the movie version putting Quatermain in the leadership role when, in the comic, it was Mina Murray who was the leader. A human divorcee who is a SURVIVOR, so strong that she even stares down Hyde and wins his love and loyalty.
