Perry Desert Rat conversions/scale photo
« on: 30 June 2013, 09:35:21 PM »
Someone asked for a photo of a Desert Rat next to my Caunter scheme A9 cruiser for scale:

And I have some conversions including Vickers, QF 2 pounder and mortar over on my blog, here http://soldatetain.wordpress.com/2013/06/30/perry-8th-army-desert-rats-conversions-works-in-progress/

Enjoy!

Super work, great to see the conversions in progress!  Inspired by another post on LAF, I have acquired a box of Valiant WW2 Tommies to use the Vickers and 3" mortars to convert with Perry 8th Army.  I was also pleased to find a multitude of backpacks in the box which are bound to be useful.

Would love to see more pics as you work on your collection. ;)

Pretty sure the only combat service the Lanchester saw was in Singapore.

Serving with the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in the defence of the Johore Straits.

But its too pretty to worry about...

Thanks! They were in the desert until around '35, so maybe one got left behind...  :D

Hi!

It's Warlord Games:

A nice kit- resin was excellent, tracks needed just a bit of work with mould lines.
