probably by about an order of magnitude.

A bit of an exaggeration.
The Antenociti one is about $24.  The Defiance ones will supposedly retail 3 for $30.
The differences, of course, being that the Antenociti one is available now, it is from a good company that will sell you quality models, you won't have to nag them to get it, you won't have to ask for a replacement -- nor a replacement for the replacement...

Nor will you have to accept miscast troops you didn't ask for as compensation for them not being able to deliver your hard suit preorder due to inability to actually cast them.  I read where someone accepted some of those wondrous Chinese troopers when Defiance couldn't deliver their little jeep thing.

You mean the Little Jeep thing isn't available ?

Gosh . I can't keep up with all the things they're not producing these days ...

The price point of the Antenociti suit  did put me off it.  It is a beautiful model, but it is at the high end of the price spectrum for a single gaming piece, and my hobby budget is somewhat constrained right now.  Perhaps at a later date.

Well i am an American gamer. I have an easy enough philosophy. I am looking for a good product for a good price. Nothing more nothing less really.
As for a following over here in the States,  have to say i haven't seen it. Too much "let down" from the company to grant them a following.

Sorry, I was judging it by the enthusiasm on another site that most will know  ;)

Seems they are re-doing the Germans, as heavier armored dudes.

I can't wait for them to go on pre-order!

I just hope the sculptor takes a file and/or a knife to that armour, unless they're meant to be covered in play dough...

To be fair, the new version does look a lot better than the old (greenish one new grey/thinner one the old).

Lol. I'd like to bring that point up with some of the forums who think digital sculpting and 3D printing are leading to the glorious wargaming revolution or singularity or whatever.

Yep, properly done there is no reason the digital sculpt stuff can't be excellent...it's just not a skill some people have.  I do think it's an absolute no-brainer though for vehicles, robots and the like.

I'm personally waiting for 3D printing prices to drop.  I love that people can design stuff and have it produced one-off etc...but the costs are pretty tough right now (especially if you want the highest quality prints).  I think we have the best all worlds, except for the obsession with damn resin....
