Should be easy enough. It looks like you just need to detach a sleeve from one of those nice sheepskin lined coats, turn it inside-out, and sew one end shut. You will be the envy of the neighborhood!

What woman wouldn't love her man in a Balkanmützen.

A Tarboosh for Monday and Tuesday, a Kepi for Wednesday and Thursday, a Beskozirka for Friday, a Balkanmützen for Saturday and the Shelm on Sunday.

Won't life be grand!  lol

"me" ?

That is some excellent picture editing Helen, I imagined you taller though....

Still, I've never seen a picture of Gartzenwerge-schützen before. Excellent trench raiders and expert at getting across Gnomeman's land....

Oh hardy har har  lol

From what I read on the forum the Germans were posing with their captured Serbian head attire.
Best wishes,
Helen

Brilliant.  ;D

One wonders if there were any stormtruppen, trenchraiders or post-war Freikorps with these hats.

Did any of them grow beards?

Interesting tactic though, baffling your enemy with a silly hat:

"what the..."
"Haahaha! Sterb, du Britisher pig!"

The death head hussars, from their enheritance the german tankers got the death head insignia, though today they seldom dare to show it in the public because the SS stole it and it's more associated with Himmlers henchmen.

For some reason I can't stop thinking of that old Star Trek episode 'The trouble with Tribbles'.

The art of war is simple enough.
Find out where your enemy is.
Get at him as soon as you can.
Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on.

Darstadly indeed. Disguising themselves as Christmas trees, no doubt to take advantage of a Christmas truce. :)
