No 60: Wargames Foundry Viking Berserker

I painted eight of these earlier this year, four went to chum Lee and the last four went to eBay with the proceeds to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Lovely to paint the naked loonies, but I had no need for them.

Hmmm ... now I'm feeling left out with all this candy. I reckon I might have time to knock another one out.*

Great colours Captain. It makes the WotR stuff on my painting table (for the painting order) look like colourblind jesters.

An interesting figure Von Trinkenessen. Great face.
What is he exactly?

Looks like he maybe using that handgun to blast an unfortunate rabbit from it's burrow!

Lots of great work in this thread. Especially love the Captain's new warbands. I wasn't going to get distracted from my other project when I remembered the impulse purchase of the LAM Warrior Priests. And I got distracted: :D

All of this work is top drawer, standards, horses, shields, freehand work-it's all here. Enjoying the thread. Keep it up!

Hi Cap'n
He is actually an old Citadel mercenary figure from the 1980's recently re-released by Foundry.
http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/our-ranges/ex-citadel/mercenaries/
This one happens to be one of the original ones picked up on ebay for under £5 in the last 6 months.
He is one of the more dodgy characters in The Von Trinkenessen chronicles; a rennaissance fantasy set against the backdrop of the later Italian wars of the early 16th century.
My current obsession now that I am painting again after treatment for chronic back pain and a mechanical problem with my spine. (6 months not being able to paint :'().

Just who did manufacture this fig?

No 35. Swiss Halbardier - battle of Nancy 1477.
