The trousers were supposed to be scarlet but I overdid the highlight a bit  ::)

I never would have admitted that.  ;)

The plaka casein looks interesting. Never have seen it in the USA though.

Welcome WestWaller,

From the looks of your figure you belong here! Nice job on the mini!

As for the photograph.... are you using the flash? If your camera has a manual setting that allows the centering of focus to be set on the mini and then balances the flash for front fill to that use it. It looks as if your camera is balancing for the background at the moment and not the mini.

Thanks @Vonkluge :). I did not use the flash, as I used the camera in 'macro' setting and (I think) that it does not allow you to use the flash in Macro?? I did try to use a daylight lamp for some extra light but as I only had one to use, it created shadow...  I might have another go at taking some photographs some time else, as the light was beginning to fade when I took the picture (after setting up, running around looking for batteries for the camera etc) but I kind of just wanted to get it photographed and posted on finishing it!! It kind of adds to the excitement of the challenge really.

Your Normans are looking great by the way. I really like the shield pattern on the latest one, free hand I guess? Only one slight problem though, He should be No: 119... as I bagged 118 :)

Cheers,

Westwaller.

There was one US mail order supplier that stocked it, can't remember which though, sorry. :(

Westwaller.

Thanks for the heads up Westwaller, that happens when you decide to post as you are leaving for work at 5am! Changed it!
Camera advice is tough to give because we all have different cameras, set ups, and skill levels, but your picture is so close to being there I thought mention the front flash. I don't know the capability of your camera but on mine I am set for macro, manual, flash, and since the light level is low the exposure time will be long so I am mounted on a small tripod so there is no movement to blur the shot. I also use a remote switch to take the shot so I don't move the camera during the exposure. If you do not have a remote switch you can use your cameras timer for the same thing.

Lovely to see the old Bretonnian archers getting some love - I've always been a fan.
