Go to the BtD preview of the game.  It says very clearly that all comments muct first be approved by BtD.

This is the WORST kind of paid endorsement!

it just seems to be going from bad to worse to pathetic to absolute balls up...

And censorship of comments is disgusting...

And the feeling of the video is for the "basic Box" you do get the ammo container and all of the stuff you need and want .... what a shame you DON'T!!!!!

thankfully only another 5 more days to endure and its all over they then can shoot this horse and put it out of its misery.

Wow.  Just wow.  I wouldnt go to that page for anything.  BtD is nothing more than a site to pay for good reviews.  At least Tom Vassel has the decency to tell the audience when he reviews a KS game, which is always for money....  Is BtD somehow different?  i think not....

All of the above?  When I first pledged my $100 bucks Miles sent me an email effusively thanking me for joining and 'being my buddy'.  As soon as he read something he didnt like....

This project is run by two nit wits.  Miles is as mature as my nephew, who is 12.  And since his sister took credit for 'demanding' the KS be set up this way, wins the boobie prize.  My $1.00 is still charity as far as I'm concerned....

Is it wrong of me that I love hearing about people who nose-dive through poor business practice? Passion is great, but it looks like fanaticism from the outside and you need to entice people to buy, not try to bully them.

The theory of retail is easy - you provide something someone wants, for a price they are willing to pay and you are willing to accept. If you can't sell, you look at the price, you look at the product and you look at how you are selling it with a view to changing something. You do not try to change the customer, because that is pointless and counter-productive.

If your costs are so high you cannot command a high enough price to make a profit, then something is wrong in your set-up and you need to address it honestly, because otherwise you are only lying to yourself.

Retail is hard work, but it ain't rocket science.

PS. I loved Battlecars as a kid, but those cardboard bits kept slipping off the boards and were a pain. If they'd been magnetised or something, that would have been better.

Of course! It's all so simple!

The world was a dark, dark place before Blu-Tac.

My daughter and I are debating whether or not to glue the wheels on customized Hot Wheels so they cannot roll.  One of us feels that is the best for gaming, the other like to be able to roll them across the table...

If you use a hot glue gun, it's more temporary as it can be peeled off.

Of just use blue/poster tac.  That way you can keep them in place for the game, but free rolling otherwise.

In fact, I'd say Blue Tac is best for a game like Outrider where you can not only use different cars for the same cards, but you dont have to permanently attach them to the cards and thereby cause some damage over time from storage ans stuff.

Hope this helps!

I'm with you 100%.  Despite living overseas for nearly a decade, I still have my American expectation of 'customer service' and decency, and to me Miles was nothing more than a used car salesman and huckster.  There is no reason for folks to scratch their heads and wonder why Miles invested 9/10's of his time in the minis, ie the 'fluff' and the game rules themselves are only still int he Alpha stage.  Miles wants to be an overpriced mini's maker, I'm sure he feels the time/investment : return is MUCH better making $11.00 d6 minis than a legitimate game to use them in.

I told Miles that his project did not pass the sniff test because as a gamer, when I bought Twilight Imperium, it was for the rules of the game.  The fact that they put in all those fun minis to use for the game, made it more enjoyable for me.  But if the game sucked, minis or no, it'd end up at my next garage sale.  So the only real supporters seem to be non-gamers, which is obviously not the group he was looking for.

His obvious inexperience, and nastiness was the oft quoted, "Well, if you want to take some crappy hot wheels car and hot glue some junk to it, be my guest..." was enough to piss me and other modeler/gamers off.

So yes, while I hate to see someone's hard work and efforts go to waste, sometimes it couldnt happen to a nicer guy.....  I'll laugh when Amazon tells me my card wasnt charged the $1.00!
