Over on The Warbard, I've posted the PDF of my Dread Thuggee League for Pulp Alley.

It's a small (four person) League with no ranged firepower, specialized for strangling and stealth. They've had a challenge to use, but given the right circumstances can be effective and deadly in a PA game!

Very cool concept for a Pulp Alley league.

Hmm... I may have missed something, but I think Amrish (leader) could have another skill a 4 dice? Maybe bump up his Dodge or Finesse, or I guess you could raise his Might to 3 dice.

Stealth based leagues do take a bit more planning, patience, and/or luck - but can be lots of fun to play. Because they can be a bit slower to move around, while they are hiding, they almost work better as a spoiler.

BTW -- here's a new in-hiding ability we are playtesting for Vice Alley ---

Infiltrate - While hiding, this character may move up to 12" and remain hidden as long as they do not move within 12" of an enemy character.

I like this concept of stealth-based leagues, I might have to have a go at one. Thanks for the idea.  ;D

dave - i assume in-hinding is only if they don't shoot, brawl, charge/run too.  staying 12" away on a 3x3 table is hard to do for very long.

Ayup, attacking an enemy or performing an action still pulls you out of hiding - but you may have a chance to 'ambush' the enemy if you're sneaky enough.  ;)

Will terrain block stealth distance checks, or is the distance "as the crow flies"?

Assuming you are asking about the Infiltrate move specifically, the answer is "maybe".  ;D

Infiltrate is still on the playtest list so we're trying it a few different ways. There's another version that states, "as long the character remains out of line-of-sight of the enemy". This is where playtesting is so valuable.

Feel free to let me know what you think.

Maybe I should clarify that "spotting" check are based on line-of-sight. But that's not really what we're talking about here.

HAVE FUN

I think that if the photos had more of a period frame, instead of a clean "polaroid" type frame, that Dr. Viking's cards are may favourite so far.

By the way, that brings up a good question. Can anyone suggest a good, free "old typewriter" font?
