We just got the go ahead to announce this!

Modiphius Entertainment and Pinnacle Entertainment Group announce the official Achtung! Cthulhu: Showdown!™ skirmish game in 2014.

Launching in Spring 2014 alongside the awesome range of Achtung! Cthulhu miniatures, Achtung! Cthulhu Showdown!™ is a standalone miniatures rulebook and full campaign allowing skirmish players to dive in to the world of Achtung! Cthulhu.

Showdown!™, is the official miniatures rules for the award-winning Savage Worlds rules system. This release will include all the rules you need to play plus quick rules for sanity loss on the battlefield, details of the Mythos creatures and forces of the Secret War, typical World War Two troop lists for the Western Front, standard scenarios, and a full blown campaign following the adventures of Charlie Company in the Forest of Fear.

No idea, but looking at their website they apparently have a thunderbirds game in the works!

Yeah, would really like to see this. We had a lot of fun with Showdown back in the day and I like the whole Achtung! Cthulhu thing.

The rate of releases for Modiphius has been slow (successful Kickstarter blues?), but steady. I didn't pledge but I've picked up several of the Achtung! Cthulhu titles as they hit Drive-Thru RPG.

My impression of the Modiphius products is generally good. Some typos and unfortunate inconsistencies with information and stats in their multi-system books, but the content makes up for it.

We ran the 'Three Kings' Call of Cthulhu adventure last spring and it was great fun.

I really like the Showdown rules, I'd love to see this. I  know a man who knows a man who's brother once met the hairdresser of the guy that owns the company... I'll have to ask if there is any news

Weirdly I got a really fast reply, people must have been at their computers. Don't know the why's but it's expected to be in shops Feb/March next year.

Indeed. They'll be at Dragonmeet in London (6th December) apparently so that's the time to ambush them with questions

Yep we're back on this, aiming to get it out in the spring, we're looking at making some tweaks to the rules to allow larger scale battles with a faster game for those who want it. There will be a campaign in the book as well

Is there a play-test team or project for this? We are fans of Showdown and have a good selection of 20mm WWII minis as well as our Mythos related minis, so pushing the limits and finding the breaks is not an issue.
