@nic-e: Yes. That would be very nice, and I think I almost have enough base plates atm. Unfortunately a lot of the are being used for my Songs of Bricks and Heroes game (Classic Castle Lego game).

I've seen the scale 40:1 but the models are all over the scale. Battleships and Aircrafts are too small, but it really doesn't matter too much. As long as the vehicles, ships and planes are designed to be used with minifigs, it all good.

I had my first battle tonight. I'll coment a bit more tomorrow, but here are the Photos:

You know ,we had a great toyshop here in Leicester up until two weeks ago (best toyshop in Britain) ,sadly it just went under ,but had i known ,i could have picked you up an entire stock box of lego plates for about £5.It's a shame i couldn't get them because i'd love to try out a huge lego board.

I just found out that a local hobby store carries another Lego-clone brand called Banbao wich also have a military theme called World Defence Force, so I simply couldn't resist:


It's quite a large tank (here compared to the big Cobi Tank):


It's a very nice set, but Banbao resently lost a law suit against Lego regarding minifigs. Therefore they've changed to ToBees (their new minifig) and to be honest... I'm not a fan:

Compared to a Cobi minifig (bases not included):


The cannon on the set is also a bit too big for my liking and the "hinge" wich holds it is not quite strong enough. It has a Brown treasure chest for stowage on the top of the turret wich also seems a bit strange.

Fortunately I have a lot of spare Lego and Cobi, so with a a few changes it's actually a very nice tank:




I've also won a host of ebay auctions on Light Tanks and AA-tanks like these:


Every day seems like Christmas.

@Bravo Six: Yep that AA-truck is also high on my got-to-get-it list. Actually I just won an auction on this:




But I'm getting the truck too at some point. :-)

Is the helicopter from Sluban too or is it Oxford? Oxford is quite expensive, but very high quality.

I'm personally thinking, that the Banbao model here could be very fine with a few add-ons and other minifigs:

Ah yes. The Oxford set is very nice and comes with a load of missiles for the side sponsons. Nice dark green colour too.

But quite expensive.

I really wanted to use the Big Banbao cannon from the tank set, so I created this Coastal Defence Bunker for it:
