s&s embrace social media!
« on: 12 October 2013, 10:46:41 AM »
yes it is true, after lots of nagging by my web designer son we have got onto social media, we now have a facebook page:-
https://www.facebook.com/pages/SS-Models/204783626370819
god knows what i am going to put on it, i have added some pics, but i will not be writing what i do everyday as it would not give me time to actually do anything if i spend all my time on the pc.
i may upload new models ect and maybe ask a few questions ect.
thanks

You'll be sorry.  ;)

Just kidding. You don't have to keep it regularly updated, just doing what you have suggested is enough. As people 'like' your page, every update, however often you post them, appears on their own feed. The point is, for any business it's easy marketing and will spread through 'word of mouth', or whatever the e-equivalent is called, with little effort on your part. You'll get feedback through comments, probably more so than on forums, so you'll need to set time out to monitor it, but that needn't be a chore either.

Listen to your son, it's surprising how many quite simple things there are out there to use.  :)

But don't forget to update the forums either.  ;) I dislike social media communities  ;D (don't kill me for that, its just me - and I am the minority  lol )

Most of it is junk... but it also 'suggests' content to users, so even if they haven't liked your page, people are exposed to it.

;)
