Dead Man's Hand - Characters
« on: October 21, 2013, 07:30:00 PM »
I just painted up a model for a commish and thought you'd like to see some of the other DMH characters too.

First up is last done. It's hard to know how to describe him these days, with so many bored people making up different PC rules by the day, so given the cinematic theme of the game I'll plump for 'Indian', since that's what we used to call them back in the 1970's when we ran around the playground using sticks for guns.

### Photo removed - AAARRGGGHHH!! I made a mistake and showed a model that won't be for release until next year. I have been soundly thrashed and am now contrite. Those lucky few who saw it must cherish the memory and those who didn't have to wait a few months.###

Charlie Prince, from '3:10 to Yuma'.

Doc Holliday, Val Kilmer style .... "I'm your huckleberry."

Django ... sans chains.

And of course, Clint ... as the preacher in 'Pale Rider' (dog collar exchanged for gun belt).

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Where's the Indian' from? It's a sharp looking mini.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

I've just checked and the Indian's not available yet (in fact, I'm not sure I should have shown him yet ... eek); he's part of Great Escape Games' next boxed miniatures set for Dead Man's Hand.

So when you buy the set folks, tell them it was all because of me!

Beautiful work cubs. The Native American.. First Nation.. redskin... er, Indian is superb. Not sure you should have shown him yet either, but I bet you're responsible for quite a few sales showing eye candy like that.  ;)

I've got 'Clint' on the desk at the moment, undergoing a small bit of surgery, to make him, just so for 'Pale Rider'.  :D
Ray.

If possible, and if I were allowed (which I wasn't), I'd have tried to file down the jaw a little to make his face a bit slimmer and more 'Clint-like'. Are you adding the dog collar?

No, I'll probably just leave the neck scarf, although its a thought.  ::) I've trimmed down the face and removed the 'tache. I'm going to add a Clint like snarl to the lips. I've also trimmed back the hat brim, which for some odd reason sits low over the left eye, obscuring it. The major work is in shortening the coat which should only just come to knee length.

Oh, the joy.  ;)

Given DMH's penchant for throwing in the occasional cinema character is it too much to hope there's a Tonto style Indian' in the new set? My Artizan Lone Ranger has been without a sidekick for way way too long  :'(.

Couldn't tell you, I only got this one model, but you never know. If they did a 'Sons of Katie Elder' set I think I'd faint from over-excitement.
