Paul, remind us who's left to be allocated a trade and a premises?
(So I can take a punt on who's going to get cast as the Upsheet Creek barber :))

- ah, how the long summer days fly by, with these tres amusant little guessing games, Mr Darcy...  ;)

I'm curious if the barber's a barbarian.  o_o

Paul I like the coffee stirrer idea for lifting the building off the ground I've been using wood that's far more expensive! Idea nicked!

Go ahead, mate.
Cheap and cheerful is always best for this sort of thing.
(I hate to think of how many hundreds/thousands of coffee stirrers I have used in my various builds... o_o)

Awesome work Mason.

This project is such a beast - what a labor of love.

Cheers, Frank.
It is, although with time running out before BLAM I am starting to think differently.

I'm curious if the barber's a barbarian.  o_o

Far from it, sir.
The Barber thinks of himself as a rather sophisticated chap... ;)

(So I can take a punt on who's going to get cast as the Upsheet Creek barber :))

- ah, how the long summer days fly by, with these tres amusant little guessing games, Mr Darcy...  ;)

Here ya go, sir:

The Upsheet Creek Chamber of Commerce...as it stands now

Starting with the buildings, so far there are the following finished properties

The Hardware Store (Eric the Shed)
The Ladies Outfitters (Malamute)
The Bath House (jimbibbly)
The Physician (Dr De'ath)
The Brewery Warehouse (Thunderchicken)
The Optometrist (Captain Blood)
The Builder's (Matakishi)
The Trapper (Elk101)
The Sheriff  ???
The Bank ???
The Barber's ???

To do:
The Saloon ???
The Railroad Station ???

So, eleven buildings finished (apart from the signs on the Sheriff's place) with at least three more to go.
I say at least three, as I may be tempted to try and finish more before BLAM, which will fit in the spaces taken by the rock formations.

As you can see there are a couple of buildings that do not have names attached to them, the Bank and the Sheriff's office.
I will allocate them and do all the signs for these at the same time as the Barber's.
(Gutbukkit has also laid claim to the Khazi, although there is some dispute as to whether it should be named after Bugsda.... ;))

As for character figures, the following have been finished:

Hammers*
Malamute
Dr De'ath
Eric the Shed
Elk 101**
Tom the B*stard
Captain Blood
Hu Rhu**
Dewbakuk**
Overlord**
Matakishi**
Legionnaire Bert**
Ray Earle**
Thunderchicken**

* Not sure if he is actually coming but the figures has already been done anyway.
**These have not been named on the thread as characters yet, but they will be added soon.
 ;)

I also already have figures of the following characters that need painting:

jimbibbly
AndyM
gamerMac
smokezombie
Damas
Silent Invader
Elysium 64
Doug Em4
Dr the Viking

That leaves the following figures to be sourced:

Andrew May
Grimm
Vikotnik
Nurgle HH

As you can see, I have my work cut out to try and finish all these in time for BLAM, and I may have to concede that they will not all get done.
If that happens then I shall continue to work on them afterwards and post them here when they are done.

Edited as of 16/08/14 as tasks are completed.

Quite a workload still!  :o

If you need a random encounter to spice up things even more, you can add El Pocoloco, the drunkard knife-toting Finn... erm, Mexican  lol

Green Knight is not coming to BLAM, so you can cross him off your list of figures to source. Grimm is not sure whether he can get the time off work yet.

Yes, it is a fair amount to do, but I am still hopeful.
On the subject of random events: There was going to be a deck of cards relating to all the Citizens that do not have a building, but we may not need them as it could slow the game down.
Only playtesting will tell.
 ;)

Ha!

You will never make it!  lol lol

I am reasonably confident that it can be done.
It is good to see that you share that confidence.
 ;D ;D

That is good to know, Mama.
Thank you!
 :D

As the German contingent is variable I have a plan for them.
 ;)

I DID make some progress with the Barber's last night and will post a piccie or two later.

Cheers....glad that you like it, mate.
Lets hope you like the finished article.

As for the Barber being Danish, the answer is: No.
He speaks with a distinctive 'French' accent and likes to think of himself as the height of sophistication.
The other inhabitants of the Creek tend to disagree.

That statement may be true, but probably wont help you work out his identity at all.

You are so damn efficient Paul! I might even see this thread as an inspiration and a whip on my arse to sort my stuff out!
I haven't even got half your list to finish. And I even have an airbrush to cheat my way through the process...

Any how, splendid job and I hope you'll have the energy to follow the whole project through! :-*

Cheers, Skander.
I think....
I have never thought of myself as a whip for anyone's arse before.... :o :o

I am confident of getting this done for BLAM.
I have finished the Barber's (piccies taken tonight when I get back from work), so that only leaves two buildings.
They WILL be done, it is getting the last of the figures finished that bothers me as my painting mojo has been misplaced for some time now and I cannot find it.... ::)
