Hmmmm........
Just remember that I have not finished the AndyM character yet.
Alterations could be made.

I think your right Andy, It seems Pablo forgot to paint a 1/48 landscape on the 'head' of the stick.  :D

I am watching you too.

Aiding and abetting, eh...?

The cross floats into the box and it's Svennn with a volley into the top corner!  :D

The Cavalry take the Train......Upsheet Creek for BLAM 2014 UD:27/09
« Reply #1456 on: 27 September 2014, 01:29:59 PM »
I made a start on quite a few things yesterday; The Railroad Track bases, the 'last' building, the stagecoach horses, a small section of the Creek itself and Silent Invader's alter-ego.

Oh, and I based those lovely Cavalry that Jeff painted.

I only have pics of the Cavalry at the moment, but expect regular updates this week as things come off of the production line.

Here are those Cavalry...

Someone appears to have stolen their horses, so they have been forced to take the train quite often these days.
Here is the proof.....

...there seems to be some dispute as to which direction they should be heading, though.....

But..!?

The Cavalry always arrives in time - And trains are never on time.

I am completely confused o_o

I think something like this might cause a tear in the space time continium.

Lovely Cavalary, Paul! :) Pity that I'm missing BLAM due to all that is work, family and family :( I usually curse myself for having kids every time there's an event I'm missing out on...

But the Cavalry are on time.
They are waiting for the train which is late, as usual.

One day, mate, one day.....
The kids may have grown up and left home, of course, but you shall go to the Ball one day, Cinders.

They're taking a Japanese train?

That would get them there in good time, no doubt.
 :D

Ok, chaps, we were supposed to play the last test-game for BLAM earlier in the week but that idea went a little tits-up due to a couple of no-shows.
There were only three of us in the end: myself, Legionnaire Bert and Painter112, so we had to improvise.
We still managed to test out the BLAM rules that we needed to, so all in all it wasn't too bad.

We played a standard 'fight' type scenario with Painter playing some renegade deserter Cavalry and assorted Outlaws and Bert playing the Sheriff and his Posse attempting to evict the varmints from town.
As Bert was outnumbered roughly two to one, I promised to even things up a later as the game progressed.

The set-up (the standard BLAM table, as I was not aware that someone was not coming until after I had set up...... ::))...with Citizens of the Creek wandering about minding their own business.

The rest of the photos were taken mid-game, after the Citizens had taken a stand against the Outlaws and joined in to help the Marshall and his Posse...

In this shot the Marshall and his Posse are under heavy fire and taking cover near the gallows....

The Citizens begin to gather...

They manage to corner one of the Outlaws and give him a dose of 'local justice'...

Another of the Outlaws is mobbed...

As the Train begins to pull out of town, Dewbie the Stationmaster starts to run after it having left his lunch on the boiler...

Meanwhile, one of the deserting Cavalrymen is really putting up a fight despite the odds....

And this last shot shows one of the funniest moments of the game, where one of the Outlaws is fleeing for his life as he is chased by a mob of angry Citizens.
His only hope is to jump onto the train to escape.....

He only just escaped by the skin of his teeth.

The only Outlaw to do so!

Don't say that!
It is almost two weeks away.

I am keeping that one quiet at the moment.

What's left to do...? Upsheet Creek for BLAM 2014 UD:29/09
« Reply #1465 on: 29 September 2014, 11:56:08 AM »
The list.
Or should I say the Upsheet Creek Chamber of Commerce...

There are some 25+ participants at BLAM, all of which will be a character in the game with a figure to represent them.
There will also be thirteen 'named' buildings relating to some of the characters.
I may do more but thirteen is the target for buildings in time for BLAM.

Starting with the buildings, so far there are the following:

The Hardware Store (Eric the Shed)
The Ladies Outfitters (Malamute)
The Bath House (jimbibbly)
The Physician (Dr De'ath)
The Brewery Warehouse (Thunderchicken)
The Optometrist (Captain Blood)
The Builder's (Matakishi)
The Sheriff (TBC  ;))

So, eight 'named' buildings finished (apart from the signs on the Sheriff's place) with five more to go.

There are also a few other builders that do not have names attached to them, although Gutbukkit has laid claim to the Khazi.... ;)

As for character figures, the following have been finished:

Hammers*
Malamute
Dr De'ath
Eric the Shed
Elk 101**
Tom the B*stard
Captain Blood
Hu Rhu**
Dewbakuk**

* Not sure if he is actually coming but the figures has already been done anyway.
**These have not been named on the thread as characters yet, but they will be added soon.
 ;)

I also already have figures of the following characters that need painting:

jimbibbly
smokezombie
Damas
Silent Invader
Overlord
Elysium 64
Doug Em4
Ray Earle

That leaves the following figures to be sourced:

Matakishi
Thunderchicken
Legionnaire Bert
AndyM
gamer Mac
Andrew May
Dr the Viking
Grimm
Vikotnik
Green Knight
Nurgle HH

An update on what still needs to be done...more for my benefit so I don't have to keep going back to earlier posts.
So, compared to the earlier post, here is where I am at now....

Starting with the buildings, so far there are the following:

The Hardware Store (Eric the Shed)
The Ladies Outfitters (Malamute)
The Bath House (jimbibbly)
The Physician (Dr De'ath)
The Brewery Warehouse (Thunderchicken)
The Optometrist (Captain Blood)
The Builder's (Matakishi)
The Sheriff (TBC  ;))
The Barber's (Legionnaire Bert)
The Saloon (Tom the B*stard)
The Railroad Station (Dewbakuk)
The Trapper (Elk 101)
The Bank (Overlord)

So, all thirteen original buildings have been finished (apart from a few bits of detailing that need doing. Signage, mostly).
I am working on one or two more before BLAM begins

As for character figures, the following have been finished:

Hammers*
Malamute
Dr De'ath
Jimbibbly
Eric the Shed
Tom the B*stard
Captain Blood
Dewbakuk
Doug em4
Thunderchicken
Matakishi
Tom the B*stard
Legionnaire Bert

These have not been named on the thread as characters yet, but they will be added soon as they are either already finished or almost so:

Elk 101
Hu Rhu
Silent Invader
Elysium 64
Ray Earle

* Not sure if he is actually coming but the figure has already been done anyway.

I also have the following characters that need painting:

smokezombie
Damas
AndyM
gamer Mac
Dr Zombie
Dr the Viking
Vikotnik
Nurgle HH

I also have a small section of the Creek itself to finish off but that is strictly optional....

You are almost there.

If you just stopped loitering about on internetforums with questionable people obsessed with counting days.

You will definately make it.
