The latest miniature are BEAUTIFULLY DONE! AND  The illustrations & the Kislevite are WONDERFULLY imaginative & witty. Your Wizard reminds me of erstwhile friend & spell slinger, Stan, who somehow manage to include The Crew in every fireball he threw.

That is not entirely far removed from what Albrecht has been doing. I think more of his fireballs have had friends in the blast than not. It seems to be a thing with fire-mages.

Thanks again for the kind words

I painted the uniform on this guy as Altdorf(ian?) as I liked the deep blue and red, but added a bit of white, both to tie him together with my regular Red-White scheme, but also to signal a possible rural, Reikland, heritage. It also balanced the mini up neatly, giving his clothes 3 different tones, without introducing another colour. The feathers provide a dash of gaudy colour, and an opportunity for me to get out my violet.
All in all, I think he turned out really great. I am very pleased with his trousers and face. He still needs proper flock on the base, but that will have to wait until the varnish is dry.

LOOKIN' GOOD! The Altdorfer painted up SPLENDIDLY...GREAT brushwork & color choices. I especially like the pants; i.e., the solid blue & red & white striped legs are a cool touch. VERY WELL DONE!

I like my fancy leg wear  :D Allready looking forward to paint more of these. The gaudy dress of the Landsknecht is pretty much perfect for my love of bright colours and stripes.

Meanwhile, I compiled another campaign-gazette. Thus, here's The Kislevite 2:

The campaign will be wrapping up next week, so hopefully we'll manage an AAR or two then. To be honest, we've been having too much fun with the games to remember to take pictures. :)

Thanks for reading and commenting, y'all!

Just painted this guy up today, and managed to borrow a camera to post it:

Since I am strapped for cash, I am trying something new, and selling him off on ebay. I've decided that I need to clear out a bunch of my miniatures, both for financial and space reasons. I have a lot of stuff I never use, so they might as well go to people who do.

Current projects include several warbands though. I want to get a play set ready for Otherworld Skirmish and Fantasy Pulp Alley, so am working on various character models. I also really want to start making more terrain, as well as some civilians, so I can host various interesting scenarios. So look for that in the future :)

I love the fact that when I looked at the picture I imagined him standing in an empty field. "These are my flowers...come and take them if you can!".  Challenging uninterested passers-by.

 lol

..And don't anyone dare touch them!

That aside, its a bit of a rough paintjob, but I actualy am quite pleased with how it turned out in the end. :)

Finally got around to taking a few pictures of some recent paints, though only with my completely rubbish phone-camera:

A frostgrave knight and a Gripping Beast germanic-guy. I've been trying to break my trend of painting everything bright red, so I've fallen quite in love with saturated greens and blues as of late. In this case, I am particularly happy with how the knights cloak turned out.

The saturated green and blue are superb, they really catch your attention when you look at the figure.

Affun's lead-pile - 10/5-16 - Paladin (Okay, he's also sort of a knight)

Amazing work, I gotta say this thread has really inspired me to start painting again thank you!

That's what its all about! Glad you find it inspiring  :)

Those are lovely! Great shields!

Painting silly faces on shields is becomming something of a sub-hobby for me. When shopping for new stuff, plain shields is starting to be a factor influencing my purchase  :D

The saturated green and blue are superb, they really catch your attention when you look at the figure.

Cheers! I think so to. It's such a pleasant colour-combination.

Today, I finished up one of my Metal Magic miniatures - A paladin. Again, very sub-par photos but they were the best of the bunch that I took.

Aelfred and Ethel cornered in a ruin. Not about to go down without a fight!

I convinced a couple of the people I live with to let me run a game of SoBH this saturday, which has given me a great excuse to go back and paint up a few of these adventurer-types thats lying around. They are such great little sculpts to paint: Nice exaggerated details, yet still somewhat simple in design. I really enjoy how quickly I can churn through these.
The plan for the game is to have each player control a small party of 3 'adventurers' inspired by classic d&d, and then I'll control the monsters, seeded around the board next to various objectives and treasures. I tested the concept in a game with my gf yesterday where it seemed to work pretty well, and just need a little tweaking!
Hopefully, I'll post some more stuff about it, as I get more work done.

Thanks for reading and commenting y'all!

Sounds like a fun way to introduce players - remember to take pics, however miserable they'll turn out!  ;)

I support the demand of photos of said game. Btw, the paladin looks very cool. You've managed to give him an expression of "ugh, I'm too old for this sh*t".
