Armageddon Miniatures France?
« on: November 27, 2013, 11:20:36 PM »
Hello, can anyone help me get info on Armageddon Miniatures from France?

They apparently were active from aproximately 1985-1990 and produced a Sci-Fi line and a Fantasy line.

That is all info I have been able to get. But I have seen some of the miniatures and would be very interested to know more.

I am especially interested in knowing about the Sci-Fi line, if they had any actual game for their miniatures and if there is any pictures available online.

Thanks in advance.

- Jonas

Little ressources available on the net, yet I can tell they actually had 3 different lines for sure, both a generic SF and fantasy ones, and one dedicated to a French post-apocalyptic RpG named "Bitume". I'm recalling that last line was sold outside France via another name, but can't remember it  :-X

Interesting. But it is so sad that so many alternative lines of miniatures might be lost forever.

And they are still available from them under  the name Future Shock. Not the entire range I guess as I have a few Bitume figures that are no longer in the  PA catalogue.

I looked up Bitume. I have been lookng at those Future Shock miniatures before, but I don't think they are the same as the Armageddon I have seen.

The line I have seen is with larger armies and such, not random post apocalypse. I have a few on the way in the mail and I don't think they are the same as these at all.

Hi Jonas,

I put the lists up on the WIKI over the last couple of nights - I have a bunch of the Sci Fi but none of the fantasy. A French friend will be posting pictures soon. There is a German ebay seller with some at the moment; I had to change the ebay to .de to see anything otherwise you only see clothes!

http://www.ebay.de/sch/Figuren-/8605/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=200&_ssn=juergens-buecherwurm

If you get any info or pics please let me know and I can update the WIKI.....my archivist hobby extension  :D

Yes, that Ebay seller is were I found anything from.

Right now I am saving all his pictures.  lol

I have been uploading a few pictures to Lost Minis Wiki in the past too. It seems llike most added pictures there is Fantasy and since I am more into Sci-Fi there is really a lot of pictures missing from many lines.

So far I have added pictures of Folio Works: High Command line and I have plans to add some pictures of Leading Edge sci-fi lines and Metal Magic: Spacelords. But I have a hard time working out how the wiki works for adding new catagories and such (Which will be needed for Leading Edge).

Will do. I can gather the info one of these days and pm you, thanks.

I have managed to add new photos and such, but not adding whole new sections yet. Right now my computer screen is ruined, I can only see anything on ½ of it, so sometimes I give up on things instead of moving the window from side to side to read info and such.

Bitume/Future shock was only 1 of the line produced under Armageddon licence. As for the other lines, since there was no partnership I recall with any non-French company, that's going to be hard to find any picture at all. I remember they had a sci-fi predatorish cyborg lizard that was killing ! Moreover, their fantasy line included several brillant references, that were pretty weak on the feet of the miniatures :/

I just got that Lizard today.

A german guy is selling some Armageddon miniatures still in pack, they are labeled in German, so I guess they had sellers in Germany.

I uploaded some photos to Lost Minis Wiki
