My Victory Decision - Future Combat army: NEW Added Deathdealers p4

Great looking army, way better than the originals and a good use of my rules, makes me happy!

My forces are notorious for slight variations in the paint jobs because I can't always remember exactly what color I used and I frequently hand mix washes that are hard to replicate.  Great looking force though!

So next up for my Dark Stars are a few figures I received in the mail this week to round out the collection.



The first is a Fire Crawler APC conversion. I've never liked the big 'Heavy Grazer' laser weapon turret on the fire crawler. Luckily, with lots of extra firetoad weapons I was able to refit the turret with a chaingun and grenade launcher.



Finally I laid my hands on two of the limited 'open cockpit' Tacarms. With my spare torso from my original Tacarms box I can up my Hardsuit squad to a full five men.



So there they are, reposed and glued with the mold lines cleaned up. Basing turf is applied and I'm off to prime.

Without the giant guns throwing it off balance the fire walker looks great.

I was just going to use the IFV rules with the Walker movement type.

The fire crawler definatly looks like it could carry a couple of steel troopers in its belly with the heavy grasers equipped the huge frame made it look like a walking heavy weapons platform. After your really cool conversion it looks like a super heavy assault APC, imo really like your dark star repaint work!

So I'd say it can carry at least a fire team into combat. I may get a second one as I do have another set of infantry weapons to convert it with.

So after a hiatus of not getting a lot of hobby-time, I was able to sneak in a solid 8 hours of painting and Law and Order watching today.

Spending those hours wisely I was able to finish up my two new TacArms to round out my squad to 5... and put the finishing touchs on my new 'Bulldog' pattern UNA APC.

Here are my two new Tacarms, both modeled from the special edition with the open bay.



And here they are with their squadmates.



And here is the APC. I've replaced the massive 'Heavy Grazers' with an automatic Grenade Launcher and Chaingun. The massive crewbay will hold ten infantry.











In VC:FC it will be a Infantry Fighting Vehicle with the Walker modification. Slow, but adds some serious firepower do my DarkStars.

Next up will be three more TacArms, generously donated by Agis. This time armed with Chainguns!

Good stuff. I've got a second set of 'Light Prince' weapons. I may just have to order one more Fire Crawler and make a second one. I do have two MCS Squads to transport after all....
