42mm multipart samurai
« on: January 02, 2014, 07:10:52 AM »
These are the latest samurai from Steve Barber, some multipart figures that come with either sword arms or polearm/spear-wielding arms. These three are vanilla/unconverted figures using the available parts. I'm working on a fourth figure which has had a bit of conversion work done to it. I'll post it later when I've finished painting it.

Handsome figures.

Not an expert on miniatures of the Samurai ilk, however I find the 'undress' representation here very appealing.

I like the way you present the flesh tones on the faces.

The light green on your bases  / dark background make the figures pop.

Kudos!

Thanks, all!
Here's another figure; this one uses the same body and arms as the above, but I've used the head from the 42mm monk archer, and have added the sash and robe using green stuff. The naginata is also custom-made.

Steves models are great, as is the painting here. Shame they are out of scale with the rest of my samurai stuff.
