Our New Multipart 28mm Modern Civilians- On Sale
« on: February 16, 2011, 09:15:34 AM »
Got these back from the caster a couple of days ago. They should be released sometime later this month or early next month.

I've also spent some time recently making comparison photos of various lines next to our own range. Check the blog for a couple of new zombie comparisons that haven't made it to the website just yet.

Now those should be very useful indeed.

Most of my moderns are Eureka or Empress, so these might be  alittle big, which is a pity because they look like really nice minis. Nice to see a manufacturer posting pics that show size, thats always to be commended.

They seem more <30 to the eye!

Interesting stuff.

an interesting and useful range of minis, BUT, I wouldn't buy any, based upon the photos you've posted on your blog - even with a measure in the photo, it is really unclear how tall the minis really are, due to the angle of the photos.

Take some better photos, and you might get more biz.

 ;)

Don't mind if they are quite tall.  I'll certainly be able to use them in skirmish games with my other assorted modern/near future stuff. Height and build are rarely a problem for me -I prefer to see realistic variations - it's just the differences you get in weapon sizes that gives me a problem  :D

Any UK distributors lined up? Also, are there any plans for more scifi-looking civvies?

Don't mind if they are quite tall.

Neither do I, but if you call something "28mm", and one of the photos looks more like 35mm, then thats the equivalent of someone being 7'6" tall....a bit more than "quite"

Better photos, and some comparison shots with other modern manufacturers would definitely help sales IMHO.

I would've said they were both of a size, given the much thinner base on the Eureka figure.

They look like nice clean castings and well sculpted imo, but as Akula says, take some time getting your comparison photos spot on and at a better angle and I'm sure you'll reap the benefit from them.

They're looking good and personally I think for civilians the scale is not really that important. Some better pictures of the arm sprues would be nice though to see the options 8)

Fair point and as usual with figure height/build it's each to his/her own  :)

It would be unusual but not impossible to find 7.6" or taller people as well as 5' or smaller. We all know skinny little racing-snakes and those who are nearly as wide as they are tall, but as you say, accurate descriptions are very useful when planning purchases.

Whatever - I want 'em  ;D

I like that you give the option for creating both unarmed and weapon toting versions of the figures.  Good sculpts of unarmed civilians are kind of rare and just what I am looking for for my alien invasion and zombie outbreak scenarios.   Now if someone would do some good EMTs (hint hint) I'd be all set!

Need to see them with other ranges in comparison as has been mentioned previously, although judging from the ruler and others observations...too big for my table.

Well the comparison shots do make them look reasonable compatible. So I suspect I'll be up for some of those.
