Painted figures by Tuesday, and a table full of mindblowing, functional jungle terrain by the end of this coming week, right? Isn't that the matakishi standard?  :D

Brilliant. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this since my Lost World stuff is slowly expanding into Pulp African Adventures.

Then I'm going to steal all your ideas and do them wrong.  :)

EDIT: Are those the Dixon Dahomey bearers? I've just painted a pack of them myself. The pack horses are quite nice from that range too, should you need any.

Need baboons...

...and some African tribesmen in big masks...

...and a pack of Pulp Figures victims...

...and a figure boiling in a big pot...

...this could go on...

...and on...

...and...
Sailors have more fun!

As always you put me to shame.  But this is a great project and I am looking forward to the finished set.
If you take Warrenbruhns suggestion I would go with masked warriors from Old Glory the figure are nice but the masks were a blast to paint.  Also a must from Old Glory is the tribal chieftain set with the big war drum, not so much for the natives but for the victim in the pot (makes me shiver) and the male and female hunters tied to the post.  After all Tarzan needs someone to rescue.   Keep up the great work.

This is just so cool. I've always thought Tarzan was a little outdated but looking at the minis I'm just not so sure anymore...

No Tarzan is mega-cool!

A near-indestructible hero, lost cities, fearsome wild beasts, Nazis, a loyal chimpanzee sidekick ..... what more could you ask for from a pulp game?  lol

That's alright, Doomhippie!  Tarzan may need a bit of a rework, but it's not so much the character that is outdated as it is Burrough's writing style and plot structure.  I recently read the last of ERB's Tarzan books, which was probably improved by some other author having to finish it.  I also reread one of the Pelucidar books and the first 3 of the John Carter of Mars books, and it was hard to get through them.  I had enjoyed the books so much as a teenager.  At least ERB put in a lot of exciting and violent encounters.  Fortunately, those characters can grow even after the death of the author, more authors can add to ERB's work, and miniatures painters like Matakshi can dazzle us and take us where Tarzan has never gone before! (In that last book, Tarzan was headed for Pelucidar.  Maybe Tarzan will even reach Mars.)
