LPC 86 - Tsathoggua

"It’s from N’kai that frightful Tsathoggua came — you know, the amorphous, toad-like god-creature mentioned in the Pnakotic Manuscripts and the Necronomicon and the Commoriom myth-cycle preserved by the Atlantean high-priest Klarkash-Ton."

I'm thinking we may need a "Show us your Cthulhu" thread after this is done, such that all the poor buggers who've been slaving away on one have somewhere to post a picture!

Aren't Cthulhus just display minis and hard to use as anything but scenery and objectives? Has anyone seen a AAR/BR featuring a fully sized Cthulhu.

Seeing as an actual "in scale" Cthulhu Miniature would be around 1.5 meters tall at 30mm scale - none of the Cthulhu "Miniatures" I own personally are that tall, the RAFM Great Cthulhu is about 125mm tall, the Pulp Monsters 'monster' when assembled in the "Eternal Slumberer" configuration is 150mm tall, whilst the Reaper Bones Cthulhu comes in at a whopping 230mm tall - but even so not big enough LoL!

I think they are better served being put into use as Star Spawn on the Gaming Table (or "Godlings" in Strange Aeons).

Well, there's this terrifying monstrosity:

But good luck getting one!

It's awesome, but I would only feel safe owning this if it was either hard plastic, or behind glass forever!

As my first presented miniature is an "odd one" (I know, I know - aren't they all) mine is an odd quote as well LoL!

“Have you seen The Yellow Sign?” ~ Robert W. Chambers

I'm late to the party, but even so - LPC 87 - "Offspring Of The King In Yellow" - I've been informed "he" is by Dark Platypus games (if anyone can correct that information, please do) - I came across this little blighter on Ebay, and pounced with a "Buy it Now" straight away!

The exact name for that mini is "Spawn Fiend Overseer". Currently the Dark Platypus website is being renovated, so you can't buy from the website shop, but his ebay shop is open (under username darkplatypus).

He's got some nice minis for Lovecraftian and horror gaming: http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_osacat=0&_armrs=1&_ssn=darkplatypus&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xminiatures&_nkw=miniatures&_sacat=0&_from=R40

The big Cthulhu is from this campaign:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythosfoundry/cthulhu-mythos-foundry-style

Probably the best Cthulhu I've ever seen... but how would I even use it or store it? I figure if my guys ever have actually fight against an Elder god, actually showing that elder god would be less effective than just implying his presence by a worsening blanket effect or a few tendrils or a hard time limit (after X turns Cthulhu arrives and everyone still present dies/goes mad), or some other game effect.

JUST IN CASE people think I'm full of it LoL - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121236368698

lol

Naw, I saw that auction when I was trying to find the mini in the first place.

LPC 88

Oh my god, what a fantastic topic, full of creatures! I got no idea how I managed to miss that, but here is my Servitor of the outer gods.
Mr. Adventurer guy has shed some light on him and he is not happy with what he sees.
