Hello fellow wargamers!

I have finally launched a kickstarter for my zombie war game BioSyndrome!
The rulebook is free to download and contains three games: A modern wargame, a fantasy wargame, and a RPG pen and paper version.

BioSyndrome Kickstarter!

For those who read my previous posts: I have purchased 12 of brother vinnis "not-fallout" power armor troops and will be adding in a brother hood army list. just saying.

If nothing else, the rulebook is free to download and a link can be found on the KS page! Thanks for reading, as always I'm open to feedback and constructive criticism. Happy gaming!

A few answers to people from the recent locked thread about my KS:

@Scorpio: I agree that having a free rule book is probably hurting my KS. Don't really have a way around it though since my rule book is free to download and will remain so. A lot of potential backers will probably just wait and let other people fund it. I'm completely fine with that, all of my backers are people who like contributing to a community project and not just another commercial product. It is worthy to note that my rule book is only really 33% complete, I require additional funding to finish it (hence the KS).

@Sangennaru: I do actually have a donate button right on the same page for my rulebook download. so far no one has donated there.. classic, i know. The Kickstarter is actually going rather well though, 88% funded and like 55 days to go! Now just to get to those stretch goals!

I'm also open to any suggestions and ideas if anyone has anything they think should be changed or added to the rule book. Always looking to improve the fox hole! I'd also like to mention that the KS has been great at getting my game noticed, i've seen TONS more views on youtube, likes on facebook and downloads of my rule book. If you can, spread the word in your gaming groups, the rule book is free!

Thanks again for the interest and support!

BioSyndrome has reached it's initial funding amount! Now on to the 1st stretch goal: Digital Cards for each weapon/armor/equipment/spell!

New important project updates are available on the KS page.

I'd like to pose a question to the members of LAF:

Concerning skirmish and wargames, would you prefer a generic weapon system (shotgun, pistol, assault rifle, smg ect) over a specific named weapon system (AK47, M16, desert eagle, glock ect)? Both have pros and cons. The generic system would stream line the rules and make upgrades and custom army creation easier. The specific system adds more flavor and options. At the end of my KS i will be giving a survey to all backers to decide. I would like to know what everyone here thinks?

Thanks, and as always happy wargaming!

Generic weapon types maybe easier to keep track of. Less duplication of effort. I also understand that you will need to revamp portions of your rules set, but in the end, I think it will be worth it. You may also be able to increase the number and types of weapons without making the armories to expansive.

yes i concur. I'm secretly hoping the vote passes to change the system to generic (i get one vote as well). Again I'm still going to put it to a vote since I have official financial backers now and believe that they deserve a say in the change. It will really streamline the rule set and upgrades. Luckily I only have a few weapon artwork pieces that currently overlap (MP5, Mac10, and a few pistols).

A few other people have also suggestion running weapon upgrades if we move to the generic system (scopes, silencers, double mags ect). I will incorperate those into the RPG rules for certain. Probably won't be in the 2 wargame version though.

I appreciate your input and am still open to opinions or suggestions! Thanks!

That makes sense. The upgrades would have a much bigger impact in the RPG.

posted some neat pictures you all might enjoy.. work in progress of course, need a coat of paint.

brother vinni's lines of course. I have the army list in the rule book (by the way I released v1.9 today) though the list doesn't have points yet. v1.9 is mostly RPG stuff, with a few minor adjustments to some unit stats.

So I've been busy this weekend redesigning the entire rule book in photoshop. If anyone would be so kind as to let me know what they think that would be stellar. It is quite tedious and time consuming, the sooner i know i need to fix something the better! (like if the text is too big, or if the template is too much).  Again, feedback is most welcome!

I'm also going through the entire rule book clarifying a lot of stuff. I'm on about page 10 of like 60 or 70.. long way to go. The army lists will be completely redone. The front page will have the artwork, quick view unit chart and some army fluff, following that each unit will get it's own page for stats, miniature examples and available upgrades. This will add quite a bit of content to the rule book. It's also noteworthy that this will increase the amount of ink it takes to print. Instead of scrapping the original google doc version, I'm going to make it all text for a more printer friendly version (no timetable on that yet).

Hope you enjoy the update! Happy wargaming!

CPTJake: Now you know where your female survivor sprue i bought off you awhile back ended up going towards! If you look closely you'll also see those extra weapons you threw in on the power armored troops earlier in this thread.

Glad you like the new design! I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks. There are a few minor things I'll need to fix here or there like paragraph indentation (one page is indented, other isn't). Might add in some more blood splatters too. I'm not on page 13 (which is page 9 of v1.9). I have a long way to go.. !

Anyways, appreciate the feedback, thanks Fatroc!

Thanks brummie. Sorry you have to deal with my spam on two forums  ;D

I'm now on page 18.. no turning back now. I start on the army lists tomorrow night..

As always, I humbly thank you all for all your feedback. We are back to 100% funding, and hopefully with reach a few of the stretch goals soon!

Some new shots of the redesigned army lists.. I'd be happy to know if you guys are liken em! Important to note that I'm testing the generic weapon system out to see how it looks on paper. Got a long way to go towards the 1st stretch goal!

Happy wargaming!
