Heist Dead Lead campaign starts!
« on: March 20, 2014, 05:55:20 PM »
Heist campaign Dead Lead finally starts!

Will the nefarious criminals Mr. K and Mr. L prevail, or will the Dice City Police Department or some other among their multitude of enemies finally put a definitive stop to their activities?

The first mission Impact Hits has been played... the next installment is in two weeks.

Here's a pictorial report of the first game:

Excellent battle report- and nice graphics.

Please tell me, if you can recall, where you got the police car and van from- it's exactly what I am after for a project. Do you know who makes them and who sells them?
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

Excellent work. I'm in the middle of a very similar project at the moment. I need to put some paint on my Berlin house.

The cars are 1/43 toy cars I've scrounged from toy stores and supermarkets. Most of them are from Burago, but there are some other manufacturers there too.

well if you can get any more, or have any spare, I would be happy to pay with paypal. Especially the Volvo and the 4 wheel drive!

I'll drop you a line if I run into more of them. Availability with these is always a bit haphazard.

The campaign continues! Will the nefarious criminals succeed in their dastardly plan, or will justice prevail?

Excellent - keep them coming.

I might be inspired to do something similar with one of our play tests of Officer Down.

Entertaining as usual.  :)

You have a lot more cars for your game table than I have. Crossing the road in my games of Officer Down tends to result in lead poisoning due to the lack of cover.  ;)

That's not even all my cars ;)

When I spot a lot on discount, I tend to pick up a bunch. Especially if they have more "normal" vehicles, even though the citizens of Dice City must be really well off considering all the Ferraris and Porsches they're driving...

They're all 1/43 toy cars, mostly as-is as I haven't had the time to weather them. I buy whatever I can get, but most of them are from Burago. The Burago cars can often be gotten pretty cheap (3-4 euros a piece), but their achilles heel is that they don't have metal axles so the wheels are liable to break off if roughly handled (more of consideration with small children, but still something to keep in mind).

I wrote this piece about the subject a while back:
