The Woodland Crew turned out WONDERFULLY...I'm hooked on alliteration. The scratch pieces are, in particular, possessed of an abundance of charm. OUTSTANDING WORK once more!

aww man, these guys caused a lot of grief with their walls of wood and nasty trickery. Not including the little sprites though? Fond memories of massacring those guys  :D

As all of the others - A really nice warband.

Thanks :D I seem to remember they killed quite a few of your guys with their guerilla tactics, before they were massacred ;) Anyway, I couldn't find those little buggers, when I wanted to take pictures.

Really nice work on those driads. They have an eerie thing all around... like ghosts I must say. Thumbs up to you!

Thank you. I was very inspired by art such as this:

I really like that image of dryads as some haunting creatures; don't go into the woods!!

The latest batch of figures are my viking warband Leif the Lucky's raiding party.

First up is Leif the (un)Lucky. He's been killed in every game, I've used him, but he looks cool, and I'm happy with the paint job.

Next up are a couple of shield maidens, Gida and Ronja.

Hmm, gotta touch up that banner pole.

Baugi Gand, wise man favoured by the gods.

Bjørn the young

Wild Harald the berserker. I replaced the head of one of the boar clan warriors with a head from the Warlord Celts sprue and added hair and beard using green stuff.

And last but not least, Høgni of the mountains

First off, that manticore is a superb conversion. Tons of character.

The scandinavian troll conversions are brilliant too. When I see the models alone I think of the 90's blue paintjob of GW and I've never been inspired to paint mine up. The lanky fur, the tail and the natural colour palette you gave them totally sold them to me. Very John Bauer.

That viking band also looks great. The big guy against the trolls would make an epic showdown!

Thanks, man. I'm very honored about the John Bauer reference, since his works were exactly what inspired me to do those converesions and paintjobs. I felt the same way as you about the original sculpts; a troll with scales just doesn't seem right except if it's an aquatic species.

I've painted this one a while ago. It was a quick paint job, that I did after inspiration struck while I was looking at a fish tank in an Asian restaurant.

I looked at the goldfish in the tank and wanted to replicate there scales but on a dragon. So I painted this:

Also, I have an ongoing project that I started with Affun, who also posts here. We bought a few boxes of the Perry's plastic kits that'll eventually turn in to two dragon rampant armies. For now, they'll start out as warbands for Song of Blades and Heroes. They are sort of Game of Thrones inspired, but I'll make up my own houses as I want as much creative freedom as possible.

I think I'll restructure the project a bit, and then get some painted, just to avert the nagging guilth I feel every time I look at them sitting in my paint que.
Besides, your warband is all cool and neat looking.
So yes I guess.

Nice job, especially the Reaper dragon.  Wonderful model for testing out paint schemes, isn't it?

Yes, it really is. Next up is this one:

That is a really nice one too. And big. Bones are really wonderful for those big monsters.

Yep, I was very doubtful about Bones at first, but it's grown on me a lot over the last couple of years.  Best for big stuff perhaps, but even in the man-sized models there are some gems and the bargain prices and soft material make conversions and kitbashes a lot more feasible.
