Landkreuzerkompanie - Flames of (Weird) War

My little Flames of War, Weird Wars army is pretty much done. Still need more Gepanzerte Soldats and other bits and bobs, but now its pretty much all sorted except for the supernatural (SS psykers, zombies, and eldritch gateways).

The centerpiece is, of course, a minor conversion of a certain large company's tank. Its been modded with a few bits and pieces to make it match up with what this paper panzer was supposed to be equipped with (per the book, My Tank is Fight!).

Hope you like it.

Fascinating concept.

Very nicely executed! *hmmm, understated*

I love the camo and sqinted a bit longer than I should have. Ouch!

The 'battle suits' figs are great. Sorry I doan recognize them tho.

Excellent work pnweerar!

Nice idea, but I don't want to be part of the machinegunners on the hull when the main guns fire, perhaps you could add some small turrets on the hull and the large turret.
You could also place some anti-infantry machine guns in the smaller panels on the sides.

And of course, you should make a cut-away version version, this thing is almost big enough to have a game in. ;D
Tank? Vot kind of dumbkopf name is that for a Schutzengrabenvernichtungspanzer?

Awesome reuse of that Certain Large Game Company's tank!

A ladder up the side would be neat to see - give even more sense of just how massive the thing is! Also, ship-style railings along some areas of the deck?

I'd almost consider getting rid of the stock guns - the two big main guns and the stubby one forward in the hull - in favour of something a bit closer to 15mm scale - a set of 14" or 16" battleship guns in a triple-or-quadruple turret topmost, maybe?

The AA batteries on the rear deck are great!

Thank you kindly gents. Sendak, the battlesuits are space marines kitted with Pig Iron militia helmets, an idea from WB Kurgan.

The machine guns were indeed supposed to be in cupolas, but I couldn't find anything that worked well enough.

The big guns are supposed to be:

2 x 280mm 54.5 SK C/34
1 x 128mm KwK 44 L/55

If I had better modeling skills I would have seen about some scratchbuilding -- especially for the turret (looks nothing like how its supposed to be).

Forgot the railings -- had originally been planned. The ladders are a great idea. Need to put some in!

Side guns would be nice (as would a cut away), but I'm still toying with how far to depart from the actual idea they had for the vehicle (given that the model isn't the best for the job in any case).

The AA batteries on the rear deck are great!

That’s exactly what I was thinking… it should help unified the figures with the tank and look less like “toy soldiers added to the top of a larger model”…

I also find that the camo scheme is great and bring the whole lot together

Anyhow I really like this little WWWII army.

I like it.
The MG-nest on the front deck and the AA on the rear deck are a nice touch.
Hope you have a big enough table to fire that monstrous main guns ;)

What rules do you use for it? Is it just FoW with a new stat line?

Don't really know yet, haven't had a chance to field it!

It'll have to be some sort of multi-sectioned creature that can take damage to different systems and areas. Too big to get away with anything clean or easy!
