Stunning work. Whenever I see anything 28mm from you it sorely tempts me away from the mountains of 20mm I've already got  ;D

Those EO figs are amazing, but then again, ALL yours are!  lol

Did you ever get a chance to have a game with Wars of Insurgency? I would love to be a war correspondent on THAT tabletop! All those awesome looking figs doing battle...  :o

Picked up an extra pack of Empress ANZACs to have a go at converting to late 1970's SADF. Just chopped off the 'butt packs' and replaced with some 'kidney pouches'.

Sacrilegious but nice conversions none the less.

I’ll think of them as West Australians, Perth is filled with boorish Boers who seem never to have got over the death of Apartheid.

Was a little first experiment with Apoxie Sculpt (never be using GS again as I rather like this stuff). The Mk 1 attempt at pouches wouldn't quite fit the space left by the butt pack, so I removed the waterbottles as well then stuck them back a bit wider. The second go I just made the pouches in place. If there is a go number 3 I'll chop off all the bottles to make room for the extra little mag pouches that should be on the sides of the kidney pouches, and just stick one bottle in the middle of the rear pouches.

Great work as usual, and a nice gritty painting style! What colour did you use for their uniform, Ash?

With these I tried Vallejo 'English uniform' as a base colour; shaded with some very thin 'German cam.black brown'. then highlight with the base, and added some khaki, then a bit of 'German cam. beige'. I think for a slightly lighter/faded look mix the 'English uniform' with the 'cam. beige' as a base ...

Nice! Thank you for elaborating. I might use it, I like the effect it has! Either way, top notch paintjobs!

Finally found a nice kneeling figure with a scoped M-14 to add to my little 'Tears of the Sun' type squad.
What a surprise, he's from Empress! Same pack also had a nice prone M-60.

Whole team.
