Really looking forward to what you do with these figures as your 20mm bush wars stuff is spectacular.

There should be a separate bi-pod for the MAG gunner which may be still in the plastic baggie, hope you haven't thrown it out! Every photo that I came across with patrolling RAR had the bi-pod on the MAG deployed so I though it important not to cheat and have it folded.

Well spotted chaps, one bi-pod retrieved from baggie. Luckily it had only made it as far as a waste paper basket and not the recycling! Thanks a lot.

Cheers, glad you like them.
I'm rather enjoying them, they are lovely minis, with some really nice detail touches such as the reinforced stitching on the shoulders of a couple of the jackets and the cut of the trousers etc.
I'll try and finish them this week. Also started on the RAR.

Very nice work. Just one small thing, the stocks and handguards on those G-3s should be an olive colour.

Hmm... I'll have to ask my father, but I think the original ones had that parts in dark brown. The ones we have at the Museu Militar do Porto (where they have a small and miserable pavilion on the back, about the Colonial War) are that way.

Thanks for the replies. these guys are only half done, so not got to the weapons yet. From the few colour pictures I've seen the furniture on the G3s does look to be a very dark green, a lot darker than the German army G3s of the 1980's. Either that or black.

I've also seen pics with a very dark brownish colour, similar to the old AR-10 stocks and hand guards. I was just going to mix a bit of black with some olive and see how it looks.
