I've started applying the GS skim to the paper and superglue cloaks.

The following image shows the start on a few

I have a lot to do and time is running away from me but, fortuitously, I have been able to wangle a sculpting day for tomorrow. Yay!

How do you like this technique over just straight GS?  Looks great BTW!  I know I keep badgering you, but any plans for Crisis this year?

@ Erik
The tissue paper application is initially quite fiddly but overall I think I will end up spending less time, using less GS, and having thinner and more flowing cloaks than if I used GS alone.  That's the plan anyways!  Btw I wouldn't use this technique for something that would be cast.
I don't feel badgered  ;).  No Crisis this year, I am sad to say.

Nice effect on the cloaks.
The paper as a base for them is a great idea.
The only thing that worrys me is if the paper limits us on the cloak folding.

:( Next time! I was hoping to bring my SSS gang and have a game with you.

Something I meant to ask, is WWW meant for commercial release like SSS or is this just a project for you?  Before you mentioned the basting issue with the paper cloaks, I thought as much to myself and then wondered if these guys are meant for release or if you plan to just play SAGA with them.  Either way I imagine the boards are perfectly viable for SSS as well.

Cheers!

Sorry to disappoint re Crisis Erik  :)

There are elements from WWW that I will release commercially, for example the Bear People, and maybe the odd character for other forces along the way.  I am a Perry fanboy so I am very happy to promote their 100YW range for the forces that are more conventionally medieval.  If I can solve the 'cloak' shortage with something that can be retailed to be just glued on then I will, but that won't be until later when I double the size of the units (which will wait on the Perrys' HYW plastic sets, as I'd really like the capes to be plastic too).  Other than that you're right that the terrain does have a crossover with SSS, for which it will also get used idc.  :)

So we have Winter Wreaks Wild for the past and Scavenge Skirmish Survive for the present/near future (with and without zombies); we need a scifi version too. Maybe a planetary system with a dying sun and lots of ice moons and planets with environmental suit clad explorers,  scavengers, colonists, miners, raiders and paramilitaries?

Expand, Explore and Execute is my vote for the space game!

Funnily enough I was thinking Exoplanets, Exploration and then I couldn't quite think of a suitable third E word!

Edit: maybe Energy representing the hunt for energy sources? Maybe not!
