XII century (about 1180-1206) Hospitaller Knights
« on: 29 May 2014, 06:09:56 PM »
Here my 28mm XII century (about 1180-1206) Hospitallers I painted some years ago (maybe in 2008) for Warhammer Ancient Battles (and maybe Impetus), at that time I didn't use citadel washes:

Hospitaller Sergeants from Gripping Beast

Hospitaller Knights from Perry Miniatures (with some little conversions)

Fab'lous. Some nice inspiration there for my own, with the painted helmets.

Thanks  ;)

I love ancient and medieval history, in fact, I'm a reenactor too and just this weekend I will go to reenact as a XIII century italian crossbowman in a siege in the castle of Vignola (M0) Italy ;)

Here my reenacting costume of an Hospitaller Knight from XII century (about 1180-1206), I tried to create a historically accurate hospistaller, however about Hospitallers from XII century there are still many doubts and few sources:

Awesome, and makes them look rather spooky.  I dig it.

Fantastic work, both the models and your costume! Thanks for sharing.
Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!
