1980's Military Style figures wi. Beret and SLR

Spent a lot of time trawling through some of the stickied threads in this forum and various manufacturers websites but still can't quite find the figures I'm after although I'm sure I've seen them about ... can anyone please help?

I guess the style would be British Military, 1980's in beret and with SLR, (as the title suggests).  The days when they used to have those jumpers with patches on the shoulders and elbows. You used to see a lot of them in James Bond movies if I recall correctly.  (In fact in the UK most boys had that style of Action Man jumper ... I think it might have been school uniform in some places).

I'm trying have a bank of 10 or so Army Moogs to support the good guys, so different poses would be good.

Any thoughts?

Gripping Beast have their british for the falklands range but they are in battledress, though they sell separate heads

There's one figure in a woolly pully in the "Government House Characters" pack in the Gripping Beast/Mo Fo Falklands pack.

And there's "The Brigadier" in the Black Tree Design Doctor Who range (the one in the Seventh Doctor category in woolly pully and cap, not the one in the Third Doctor category, who is under No 2 Dress and beret - neither has an SLR).

Thanks for all the suggestions ... Not quite what I was looking for still though.

The Crooked Dice minis are excellent (I might get them) but for what I need I was looking for something less special forces.  The Gripping Beast Brits are good as well (I'd forgotten what a lot of good stuff Gripping Beast had) but they are more outdoors that army base.

I know ... I'm too picky, but I thought I had seen a range of those figures about.

You've got the choice of going plastic toy soldiers with this one and dipping into 1/72 or 1/32.

28mm-wise your choices are limited and frankly the quality on offer isn't great, GB (Mo-Fo) being the best of the bunch.

Could you not buy Crooked Dice Rifle minions and paint the patchs on or add your own. You can also buy separate heads with berets from them as well.

Here are all my troopers for my Wild Ducks cast. Fighting men hads added and those with out I made folded berets for there shoulders.

That's a nice idea, painting the patches on those minis might work.
