Gaming "Defiance"?
« on: 23 June 2014, 09:42:04 PM »
All,
Not really sure what board this fits in, given the obvious Pulp overtones, but has anyone gamed this?  It seems like a great background for skirmish/rpg games.  The problem is the figures for the assorted non-humans.

i was really excited about defiance when it came out but was sadly let down by the series being slooooow.
I do think it could be a funky setting.if i were you i'd instead look for pulp or sci fi humans and simple paint them different colors.

But if you can find a miniature of the girl who runs the whore house i will by one ...for reasons.
never trust a horse, they make a commitment to shoes that no animal should make.

They should all be pretty easy to make. Just Use normal humans with long hair for the Castithans, paint them a silver white, or gray with white hair.
Use one of the many pulp ranges of Ape men for the Sensoth.

Mix miss match gypsy, Bikers and woodland American Natives for the Irathients
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Yep, that would be a good start.  As you said, the human and humanoid races would be pretty easy to do.

Given the sort of scenarios in the episodes, I'd consider Pulp Alley, 5150, or maybe even Western rules.
