Same here. I wonder if I can get all of Akky's Dune figures done before these come out...
Of course you will ;) And we will look forward to it! :)

Any chance of there being a solid roof or van version of the VW?

Possible at some point but I've got several other vehicles on the todo list first, and the priority is to get the first wave of greens finished.

 :)

Quick Update:

I've got the first master castings of the 1/55 Landrover and VW Camper back from Griffin.

The Landrover comes with a whole bunch of stowage, 3 x GPMGs and a separate roof meaning that you can customise your fleet.

It will be probably be c2 weeks before I have castings of the landrover and VW Camper available (and able to confirm the cost) but if you drop me a PM I will contact you with details of how you can get hold of some and the costs as soon as I have them.    ;)

N:B I am having some crew made for the landrover and will make these available separately (the VW Camper has an integral driver).  There will hopefully be a couple of options for land rover crew, but it may be a couple of months before these are ready as they will have to go in a fresh mould when finished (a copy of the Landrover master has gone to the sculptor this week to size the crew).

This is great, there is a serous lack of decent unarmed civilians to be used in western country's.

Quick paintjob on the VW Camper van...might have overdone the rust...

I don't know so much, I suspect because it is on white that it contrasts more... if the vehicle itself was a darker colour (or indeed any colour - iirc they tended to be a colour on the bottom and white above the bottom of the window line) it might look a lot different with the same amount of corrosion. Check out a photo of Hurley's from Lost for a comparison if there's one about.

First effort at painting a Landrover master casting.

Very nice - but ... you do know that the Land Rover bodywork is aluminium and so does not rust?  The steel chassis does rust but you cannot see it from above!

Like you say, the bodywork is aluminium but the fittings are steel.  ;)

More of my cackhanded painting to show a couple more options from the Landrover model
 ;)

The camper van roof rack is a rectangle of plasticard with old crow ammo crate, Fenris drum and some stowage borrowed from one of my land rovers.
