Rebasing those Gauls
« on: 26 July 2014, 04:19:28 PM »
Back in 2008 I made a start on some of the new plastic Gauls for our WAB games. Having had many games of WAB with them I have now decided to re-base them all for our upcoming Punic Wars games using Hail Caesar.

I could have made sabots, but they would not match the bases that James and Martin have used and I'm happy with how they came out.

Those are great!  Presumably the Warlord women?  I have been thinking about getting some of those, as I want a couple of inferior warband.

On the blog, who makes the nearly naked man with the dog on the command stand? Great figure, and some excellent painting on the whole project!

Thank you both.

The female warband are all Warlord models, one from the druids pack - http://store.warlordgames.com/collections/gallic-celts/products/ancient-celts-druids the rest from the female warriors pack - http://store.warlordgames.com/collections/gallic-celts/products/ancient-celts-female-warriors-pack

The chap with the mastiff is a Gripping Beast model, I think it was from the limited edition Spartacus Characters pack.

That's an impressive feat given the size of the warband! Just seen the full array on your blog (unable to comment there, unfortunately), and it looks great.

Thanks chaps, I'm back from my holidays and have done some more work on re-basing the Gauls for Hail Caesar.

This time, chariots, disorder markers and casualty markers.

As usual, more images on the Scrivsland blog

Great markers, looks like we're not using pigs then!  Have you actually unpacked yet or just gone straight to basing?   ;)

We can still use pigs if you want.
I got back home on Thursday morning and am suffering from being on Tokyo time. Given the 4am starts you should see what I have gotten painted these past couple of days :)
