That is a very big barge  :o The carpets are lovely, would you mind sharing the file?

Yeah, that carpet stall is inspired. Little touch of genius there. I'd love to steal that idea as well.

That carpet stall is amazing! I should add something like it to my own marketplace.

Thank you! It's terribly easy to do, and I think you can play with the configuration of the stacking to get different results. Here you have the file:

I simply printed it at A4 size. You may want to do some previous tests in B/W to check if it's what you want or if you need to resize it.
I originally got the file thinking of my modern Afghan board, but that was ages ago and I cannot recall the original source :(

Nice little stand too - great ideas in this thread.

Epic facepalm! ;D That's the thing I should have done, now I feel incredibly silly for spending hours looking on the usual sites and blogs I follow o_o.
Thank you so much! :D

Looking great and there are some inspired things in here! 8)  Your table is looking better and better with each installment, and it gives off that real Rogue Trader vibe...

I'm especially loving the Red Ambul sign btw; that's hilarious! lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I did those rugs years ago - glad someone still finds use for them!

Thank you! Well, they are absolutely great and totally inspiring. Now that I have them printed, I need to put the rest of them into use ;)
I'm editing the blogpost to give you proper credit :). Thank you again!

Thanks Suber - that's not really necessary mate.

Just glad people are still using them - it's been 6 years since I posted them!  :o

Noice! For those without access to colour printing, craft stores sell little bags of patterned paper offcuts for scrapbooking, they often have some vaguely "exotic looking" patterns that would make for decent rugs :)

I got the full market :D

I got the nice Micro Arts stands, which looked simply perfect for my purposes. They just needed to look worn out, as dirty as my whole board:

I turned the big one into a spice market or food store. Made the spice with greenstuff, as well as some xenos fruit (or something allegedly edible at least)

But there was quite an empty space calling for something to fill it. With some more greenstuff and a couple of MDF gears from other kit, I came to this:

Just used a few staples to build a cage and so I got a yummy space cuttlefish :P:

This is it:

Let's go back to the small stands. I delved into my box and got a salvaged military equipment stall:

As well as a low-tech equipment stand:

Not all! I also got these jars by Fenris Games, it was the perfect occasion to paint them:

So this is my marketplace so far:

Every adventurer needs a place where to buy some food, new weapons or whatever!

I still have some more pieces to paint, but for now I think it works...

Continued total goodness!

Just as an aside, the rugs reminded me of a flying carpet race Chris Palmer ran years ago at a big US con. Might be able to sneak that in?
