The figures unfortunately remind me of...

... which is seriously cringeworthy.

I'm a big Steve Saleh fan but these aren't his best sculpts, I regret to say.

Going to second you on that one, just got Salehs Burnaby and looking forward to the cross of Iron miniatures with the ostfront supplement, both top notch, this on th other hand...not so much.

Methinks the problem is that warlords 'style' sometimes can not mesh well, look at the Buffalo soldiers box set, poorly done.

At the same time I'm loving the implications of this, would love to see more allied box sets as it's been Germany getting all the good stuff lately and I think I need Soviet Paratroopers.

They should fit into a pulp game well enough though.

Are these done by Saleh? Or the resident Warlord sculptor?

The article says Saleh, they are getting their moneys worth from this new hire I must say, they have him sculpting colonial officers, James Coburn, Blucher and Tirailleurs.

The sculpting is always difficult to identify when it comes to Warlord for me. Except when it's Paul Hicks. The Dick Winters miniature for example was so uncharacteristic for their main sculptor Wojtek. Never would have guessed it's him. And I never would have guessed that these are Steve Saleh's work.

I see it like newspapers, there is a definite 'house style' for warlord, personally I like it although at times it can be executed poorly.
