More sci-fi type scenery
« on: 28 January 2015, 09:03:23 PM »
I built a load of new scenery to go on my Ferrograd board.

Being a techie teacher I've got access to plenty of tools and scrap mdf so thats what I used

I detailed it with some ridged flexi-mdf and various sizes of dowel.

I ended up with 7 straight sections and two corner sections to give me quite a flexible layout

And here it is, painted up, in all it's tetanus inducing glory!

Now you see... If I could do this... :o :-*

I have to rely on shapes I spot! But you make them.

Wonderful stuff and lovely rust effects.

More please!

Wonderful board.  I like the rusty aesthetic very much.  Good work on the scratch building.
This is my boomstick!

Techie teacher = Teacher of design and technology subjects (+ scottishness)
I think the equivalent in the states is called 'shop'. I teach 11-18 year olds wood work, metal work, plastics, composites, design and 3d product design. I'm also a head of year which means at the moment that I'm in charge of the progress and well being of 180 14-15 year olds!

Great combination of different shapes, the gribbles work a charm.
