Thanks chaps

It's an early update for day 3:
Cutting out completed

Some of the scored lines needed opening up, which was done by using the side of the point of a craft blade as a gouge/chisel

Bits that had been glued together yesterday could be worked on today, so the wing and tail pieces were sliced with the craft knife, filed, then scraped (rough polished) with the scalpel. The sides of the fuselage were glued to the floor for working on tomorrow. Incidentally, to best ensure that mirrored sides matched, they were offered up to each other then trimmed before fitting.

It's worth noting that this plane is small, with a wingspan of 25 feet that's just over 4 of me (or 2 Jimbibblys or 8 Malamutes). One potential problem with the size is fitting a power source for LEDs : I'd hoped to put it into the fuselage but it seems like there won't be enough room.
