Perry plastics conversions

I still need to file the shoes a bit as they look a bit like my nan's slippers.

I bought one Ansar sprue on eBay and for heads and a few extra arms which work seamlessly with the other medieval sets they're worth it.

For sculpting conversions like this one there's 4 useable bodies I reckon. All in this running pose but running under fire from a martini rifle or a cloth yard arrow it still works.

Ok Stuart Perry, you are the long lost brother of Michael and Alan. Be honest to us. Where have you been all the time? Or is it the Milli Vanilli-Effect? You do the stuff for them?

Another one done, Now he's coloured in it seems there's an italian influence though as there are very few depictions of French infantry in the early 1500's my approach is to mix italian and tudor influences with a bit if german, I'm guessing that's a reasonable mix. I like him anyways, the main thing is he looks nothing like a Sudanese Ansar tribesman !

Stunning!  T he paint-job accentuates the quality of the sculpting. I think my favorite part is the neckline of the shirt, actually.  It's the kind of easily overlooked detail that doesn't stand out by itself but really makes a figure look the part.

I actually prefer these to TAG's Valois French, which themselves are a fine set of figures, albeit too late for my tastes. If I didn't know, I would call BS if someone suggested these were made from the Perry Ansar figures.

Consider my bonnet raised too. These are pretty much sculpts and not conversions as you have used the Ansar as dollies. I'm more than highly impressed! You've also given my the impetus to start doing an hour or two of pushing putty a day!
